Tomorrow is Another Day

Such young eyes,

to witness death.

to hear people lie,

with every breath.

To fend for themselves at such a young age.

Body still small, but wisdom beyond a sage.

Living alone with no proper care.

To hope for affection, do they even dare?

They are the orphans of this world.

Eternally in plight,

never seen a happy sight.

But they still smile,

because for them, happiness is in just another mile.

And cheerily they say,

"Tomorrow is another day!"

This was actually the poem I submitted to the school magazine. And it turned out good, so I was like 'Eh! what the hell? I'll post it!' so here we are.
