Sexualizing every aspect of my body/

My shoulders, my legs, my hands, my neck/

I shouldn't need to protect you by hiding my body under shawls and turtlenecks/

They aren't here for your pleasure/

They are for me/

For me to walk, for me to move, for me to be free/

I am a child/

I am still small/

I am too young to be listening to your catcalls/

Maybe if my shoulders arouse you/

You should change your point of view/

So, stop/

I am not here for you//

I think the time has come for us to stop covering ourselves for the sake of others. We must learn that we dress however we want, because it's our choice.

I'm sick and tired of dressing a certain way because a grown man may think my bare shoulders and legs are an invitation.
