Delimari's heart skipped a beat from what the two New Averian's guards had said. She stood there, frozen from what she just from what she heard. "Purge an entire town... How? How on Averia are they going to do that!? I gotta get out of here! I gotta find Cookie and fast, and then we'll leave and find a new place to hide. Yeah that's a perfect idea, Delimari."
Delimari peaked out and saw that the two guards were gone and she immediately bolted to the other end of the alley and to the streets.
All around while she ran and dodged many people or creatures. She began to look around all the chaos and destruction around her. She saw many dead bodies on the ground both Averian Order, Rebels, or evening civilians. "Don't think about it. Cookie needs you." Delimari thought to herself so that she can move on and keep going.
She also looked around as there were some buildings where some residents peeked out and saw what was happening outside their homes but still hid their houses from the massacre. One house though really caught Delimari's eye, a house with a family that was dead outside on the front door. This really caught her off guard.
This made her just... sad.
A peaceful, nuclear family, a wife and a husband with two kids... were now piled outside of a building that was their home are now on top of each other dead. "What did these rebels do what they had to? They provoked The New Averia Order and now look at what they did to them." Delimari couldn't keep staring at them. All she could do was say a small prayer to the dragon gods themselves. By the dragon gods themselves, watch over them as they are no longer among the living." She prayed as she continued to weave straight to the apartment building now.
...
Delimari was almost there. She could see the top of the apartment now as she made her way through another alley, but this time two hooded figures (Delimari suspected they were Rebel's) pushed her to the ground as they passed by her. One stopped and stared at her and his face looked light blue because he was probably an ice elf, he had a big scar on his eye and a tattoo of a bird on his forehead. Delimari couldn't make out the bird as the stranger turned away from her and ran.
Delimari had no time to waste as she got back up and ran down the alley until she heard voices and stopped herself. She hid, and saw that General Cappiro with his many soldiers and even ones in different armor that Delimari had never seen before that looked like elite soldiers was now in front of the apartment building and from the looks of it he was yelling out at the entire district.
"You are outnumbered 10 to 1! You have about 2 minutes to surrender now or we will come down on you hiding in these buildings!" He yelled out. Delimari waited for an opening to get past the guards.
After 30 seconds passed; she saw her opening and ran across the street and to the next building and just decided to keep running and went to the back door of the apartment, but when she got there there were already some more Averia guards there.
Delimari had to distract them and that's when an idea formed in her head. She grabbed a bottle and tossed it over behind them making them get distracted and look away from the back door and that's when Delimari took her chance.
She ran to the door just in time as the guards then spotted her. "HALT!" One said but she didn't have time to notice as she'd opened the door and slammed it close behind her, she heard a few arrows hit the wooden door but thankfully didn't pierce through.
Then next thing she heard was a Cappiro's loud voice outside the building. "Fire the Moltolves! Burn them to the ground!" That was when she heard one crashing through a window and a scream let out a scream. "Put it out! It's burning me!" Delimari had to hurry, and fast.
