Wei Ying did not dare to speak, or move, or utter a single sound, still frozen with terror from how Lan Zhan had reacted the last time. The fear he still felt echoes of, the feeling of terror had yet to quite abate from his body. The scene of Lan Zhan staring down at him, anger filling every fiber of him, it was enough to freeze anyone, and Wei Ying knew that he had angered the other by interrupting him but he had not thought that he would react in such a manner. After all, he knew that he had been a bit short and curt, and perhaps Lan Zhan had not liked that. It was quite possible he supposed. Wei Ying had to be more careful in the future. If Lan Zhan did not like to be questioned...Or perhaps it was his tone of voice. It was hard to tell what exactly it was that Wei Ying had done that was the thing that angered him. He would have to be more careful, that much was certain. He did not wish to have Lan Zhan's anger directed at him any time soon. It was a frightful thing. For someone who did not showcase much emotion, he clearly felt it all the more deeply.
As Wei Ying had previously expected, it was incredibly slow research, and it took forever. Scouring through tome after tome, deciphering everything, trying to find anything, any sort of information about anything even remotely hinting towards dark magic and dark cultivation was difficult, and not to mention that this was the Lan Library, of course it would be much more complicated trying to find information about such things. While the library was very vast, the biggest one that Wei Ying had ever seen, and quite extensive, he would bet anything remotely dangerous was hidden. Not in the main portion. Even if he did not know for sure, he doubted that the people like the Lans would allow just anyone to read from dangerous texts. While he was also almost certain that wherever the more dangerous texts were hiding, Lan Zhan would be easily able to access, he also knew that it would come off as suspicious, and so he would just munch prefer that they just find whatever they can from the main library section. Even though Wei Ying was almost one hundred percent certain that they were not going to find anything within the Lan Library. That was, until he found a hint.
It was nothing large, and basically naught but a mere sentence and it did not even really state anything concrete, even still it was better then nothing which was exactly what they had before. Sure it was only a vague sentence, but it was still a sentence which he had found when before there had been absolutely nothing so far on the topic, so he figured that it was a good thing, positives after all, were incredibly important when doing such things. He was about to speak up when he remembered that Lan Zhan's stupid muting spell was still in effect. He pouted, annoyed, and decided to start throwing scripts of parchment at the other.
It seemed to have no effect. Lan Zhan remained dutiful in continuing his reading. Several large tomes were open near him and he was not even disturbed at the amount of random parchments scripts which were being thrown at him. It would seem almost impossible. It was something that annoyed everyone. Well, it annoyed Wei Ying quite badly, and he figured that the other would be annoyed by it considering he was so aggravated by his speaking. Yet, he remained completely unmoved, and without a care as to what Wei Ying was doing. Wei Ying sighed heavily, unable to think about what else he should do. It was seemingly impossible. He did not really want to get UP and disturb the other, the fact that he was already throwing things at him and the other was unmoved meant that it was unlikely that his standing over the other for an extended amount of time was going to do anything about that. He started tapping the quill which he had near him on the table, the sound resounding around the room. he figured if it was sound which annoyed Lan Zhan (which seemed likely as the only time that Lan Zhan had been moved in any way whatsoever was when he had been speaking continuously) then this was his utmost best bet at getting the other to look at him and acknowledge his presence. He needed to make sure that Lan Zhan saw this, and he did not want to move, because he doubted that Lan Zhan would do anything, and even if he did he did not really want to startle Lan Zhan.
