Honestly, Wei Ying felt as though he should have suspected that Jiang Cheng would be coming to the guest lectures. He had not really had much time to ponder it, given the fact that he had been caught up in the other things that Lan Zhan deigned to allow him to do. Really, he should have thought this through a bit more. The positive side of this, was that it was obvious that the other had not recognized him. Which was more grace than Wei Ying deserved if he were being honest. Still, he suddenly felt a longing to find Lan Zhan more than anything. His breathing was beginning to quicken.  He needed Lan Zhan, as he knew the other would be able to really reassure him, and that he would protect him if nothing else. The other was a little possessive. He did not think he trusted the Jiangs to let it go. They did not seem to recognize him, but who really knows for sure.

He rushed about the town square, rushing out of the inn, searching high and low for the other cultivator. They had agreed not to leave the square, but Wei Ying could not find him. He searched every stall with frantic eyes. Wei Ying felt a foreign set of feelings grip him, and he pushed them down. Gritting his teeth, Wei Ying could feel himself get more and more anxious as he still could not seem to find the elder Lan. Tears began to sting his eyes, but he stubbornly refused to allow them to fall. Where was he now? He did not recognize this area, not entirely. Had he accidently left the market. He spun about in a circle, his shoulders dropping with dread. He felt his body begin to tremble slightly.

He could not quite control the inky black smoke that began to flood the tips of his fingers in his fear and anxiety and would not even if he wanted to. His emotions were running far higher than they had in a long while, seeing Jiang Cheng, and now not being able to find Lan Zhan...was taking a toll on him more than he could have possibly expected. He had not really expected to have relied so much on Lan Zhan lately, and he felt himself begin to spiral.

He stopped dead in the middle of the road, keeping his gaze towards the ground as he began to feel the crimson bleed into his eyes his fingers shaking as the dark smoke circled them, his eyes changing from their normal colour. Running solely off his desire to find Lan Zhan, he did not think of the consequences too much as he shoved the dark energy from his fingers down and into he floor, he sent a push outwards, across the towns' square, flooding the floor with resentful energy. Such a sudden flood could not go unnoticed, but he did not care, desperate in his search for Lan Zhan as he was he was running solely off of emotion, and not really off of logic at this point. Which, never quite a good thing but he did not care.

He felt Lan Zhan, a pillar of sheer white energy. He jolted his head up and flew down the road, not really thinking, his senses entirely focused on Lan Zhan. He did not pay much attention to the people around him, not really focusing on the villagers, who began to whisper about the young lost Lan boy, who looked about ready to tear the place apart. He navigated his way through the people, not touching anyone as much as possible, before he found him.

Lan Zhan. He did not leave. He truly did not leave.

Wei Ying breathed in relief felt the tears falling down his face not now out of fear but out of shock and almost disbelief, unable to stop himself from running up to the other. He rushed into the other teen, instantly wrapping his arms around his shoulders, clinging to him as he curling his fingers into the long sleeves of his robes. His body was still shaking, crimson bleeding out of his eyes once again, leaving them their usual colour.

It was totally against all propriety. They were still in the town after all, although on the very edges, bordering on the outskirts of the outskirts. Wei Ying was also more than probably breaking a thousand rules, but unfortunately for Lan Zhan and his Uncle, that could not really penetrate the glaze that his mind was in at the moment, but even still he could not really help it and Lan Zhan did not do anything to stop him either so it was probably fine...maybe. Or he could be readying himself for a very long lecture when they got back to the Cloud Recesses, but  for now he would allow himself to bask in Lan Zhan's sandlewood scent.
