The hardest part, Lan Zhan had officially concluded after thinking it over for long hours, would be trying to ensure that Wei Ying is comfortable enough, and dependent enough, on him that he would not leave once Lan Zhan officially takes him out of the Cloud Recesses. He could not have the other leaving him randomly, or trying to escape again, and while there were many ways in which that he would be able to ensure such things, he did not really like how drastic some of those actions were and he would much rather Wei Ying willingly stay with him just because he needed Lan Zhan. Even though...that was a bit selfish on Lan Zhan's parts, and the idea of making another person dependent upon him to where they would not leave him was definitely just toeing the line of the rules very closely via several loopholes, Lan Zhan was determined. There was just something about Wei Ying that caused Lan Zhan to want to know him, to hold him, to care for him, and to keep him safe as possible. He wanted to be the only person that Wei Ying even wanted around him, wanting Wei Ying to go to him when he was nervous or anxious or worried or scared and have Lan Zhan be the first person he thinks of...Lan Zhan calmed himself taking a deep breath. His thoughts reigned in once more as he calmed himself down. Such things were so very unnerving, as he had never had such thoughts before. They confused him. He needed to though, he needed to make sure that Wei Ying would not even think about leaving him once they left the Cloud Recesses.

Which was completely unavoidable. It was something that Lan Zhan knew would be unavoidable the moment Wei Ying had suggested they speak with a demonic cultivator in the first place. They would need to go out to meet the Demonic cultivator, as there was simply no way possible any demonic cultivator would agree to go to pretty much anywhere within the Gusulan clan. Lan Zhan was more than aware of that. That itself was fairly obvious, given the strict rules of the Gusulan, many were intimidated, and those were normal cultivators in the first place. Not to mention of all the Sects, Gusulan Clan had the most cultivators. It was dangerous for many demonic cultivators, not because the disciples would do anything to them, but because it would seem as though they were trying to keep a rather low profile.

Lan Zhan had already sent several inquiries and such on questioning about demonic cultivation and cultivators. Though he knew that there was unlikely to be many, there had to be some, at the very least. Wei Ying could not be the first, even if he was the first to have potentially mastered the technique.

He had been planning, however. Ever since Wei Ying had asked him to help him, Lan Zhan had made it is personal duty to ensure that Wei Ying stay as comfortable and dependent on him as possible. It was...very morally questionable, but Lan Zhan ignored such things. Within the past three weeks, he had seen great growth. Not only had Wei Ying began to take classes within the sect, and was quite intelligent and inquisitive, but he had begun to cling to Lan Zhan more and more.

Lan Zhan was not entirely certain if this was because the other was scared of the other disciples who were all notably larger than Wei Ying himself (which Lan Zhan had been trying to fix, getting the other to eat more food, which was much more difficult than one would think) but also because the only other people in the class that he knew was Sizhui, Lan Zhan's younger brother, or if it was because of his drastic efforts to cause Wei Ying to do exactly that, or a mix of both.

Lan Zhan had taken to sending Wei Ying his meals personally every day as well as ensure that Wei Ying ate with him in the Jinshi. He would wake Wei Ying up as well, tell him when to rest, even humming to him to help aid in the passage of sleep. He would constantly help Wei Ying with his studies and homework, and always made sure that the other bathed. He took to brushing Wei Ying's hair, and putting it up for him every morning, and taking it down and brushing through every evening. When Wei Ying was feeling particularly anxious, he called for the other to mediate with him as well. He had even gotten the other a flute (one not used to play demonic cultivation through, though Lan Zhan knew if Wei Ying really had mastered that type of cultivation it did not matter what flute he used, or whether or not he even needed a flute in the first place) and helped him in bettering his understanding and knowledge of the musical instrument.
