Chapter 39

The lights were turned off when yoongi entered his home. He turned on the light to see empty kitchen counters. Usually, the spot is with home-cooked food which hoseok makes for him. He sighed removing his shoes and exhausted from all the events of the day.

He entered the bedroom to be greeted with a sleeping hoseok curled in their bed. As he moved closer he saw dried tears on the face of his love. Hoseok woke up as yoongi touched his face lightly. W-what time it is? He said rising up.

Sleep. Yoongi said removing his shirt. A-are you angry? Do you hate me yoongi-ah? Hoseok asked with sadness in his voice.

Yoongi came back in his grey sweat pants turning off the lights back. Come here. He spread his arms for his boyfriend. Hoseok hesitantly gave him a hug but was surprised when yoongi started caressing his hair just like every time. How do you suppose me to hate you when I love you the most in this world? Yoongi said in his raspy voice.

Yoongi felt wetness to see hoseok crying with face buried in his chest. I'm a selfish person. I dragged him into the mess. He trusted me. I knew his feelings but I never stood up for him till the last day. How can you not hate me? He cried harder with every word.

Shh... that was three years ago. You did it for your friend. You can't control someone's feelings hoseok. It was unintentional. And besides, that, who am I to judge your past? The Hoseok I met in France 29 months ago is the most kind and loving man, I fell in love with him and I will always love him. Yoongi said giving him butterfly kisses on his neck which calmed something in him.

Jin left this afternoon crying. He was upset when I told him everything. Hoseok kept his face down. Don't worry I'll go and talk to him myself in the morning. Yoongi said reassuring him as they both fell asleep in each other's arms.

Is Jin here? He asked Jae In impatiently for the tenth time. No sir. Jae said excusing himself to attend other works. Just then yoongi entered their joined cabin.

Hey. Yoongi said with a little smile on his face. Taehyung greeted back but the only thing he wanted to know was, 'where is jin?'. With every second passing, he was getting more impatient. So he finally mustered up the courage and asked Yoongi, Do you know at what time Jin will be here? 

Yoongi took a deep breath. He won't be here anymore taehyung. He said picking up another file. What? Why? Of course, because you told him to get lost yesterday you idiot, he thought to himself.

He resigned this morning and I approved it. Yoongi said looking up from the file. Taehyung sat in his chair, his chest burning with the anger.

Where is he? He asked. Don't taehyung. You had a fight just yesterday. Yoongi said with disappointment. 

I want to clear things with him. He is ignoring and insulting me ever since he is back. I just want a reason. Taehyung growled. 

And why does it even matter to you, taehyung? Yoongi asked.

I-I, h-he, we w-ere friends once. Taehyung said. He was confused. How do I describe why feel this way because of Jin's behaviour, he questioned himself.

Taehyung friendship can fall apart. You can always move on. And more importantly, he does not want to be here. Yoongi said crossing his arms over his chest.

He does not want to be here or he does not want to be around me? I know he is ignoring me and if you are not going to tell me I will find him myself. Taehyung grabbed his phone leaving the office as he dialled his number.

Get me the whereabouts of Kim Seokjin in an hour. Hanging up the call before there was any reply from the other side.

That night taehyung landed in Jeju as he received the information that Jin was on holiday with his friends.

Leaving his beach house the next morning he entered the hotel where Jin was staying. He knocked on the door of the room 1506. Twenty minutes and there was still no movement was heard from the room. He was about to call reception but then the door opened revealing Alex in a bathrobe. 

Who are you? Alex asked brushing his wet hair with his fingers. Taehyung stood still with his mouth shut unable to find the words staring at the man in front of him.

Who is it Alex? He heard Jin's voice. Don't know, babe? Alex answered back.

Jin giggled on the other side of the room. What nonsen- He stopped in his track as he saw taehyung standing on his door. What the fuck?

What are you here for? Jin said sipping the orange juice he ordered. It's been 15 minutes they are sitting opposite to each other without saying any word.

Just tell me why did you quit. Taehyung broke his silence. 

I think you forgot your own words. What happened to "I don't want your ominous presence in your hotel?" Jin said smirking.

Why are you pretending to not know me? Yoongi said I hurt you when he punched me. Is it about that? Can you please at least tell me what I did you to ignore me like this? Taehyung asked.

How did you find me? Did you spy on me? Jin asked avoiding the topic.

You don't answer a question with another question Seokjin. Taehyung sighed. Just tell me. There is no way you can avoid me. Another silence fell around them. I'm waiting. Taehyung said once again.

Clause 7. Jin said raising his head.

What? Taehyung's eyebrows raised at the sudden response.

It said I won't associate myself with you anymore personally or by word of mouth once the contract is over. Jin said exhaling as if he was holding his breath. You got your answer now? I'm not paying you anything since you brought this up. Now get lost and don't show your face to me ever again. Jin said taking his leave.

Taehyung sat there unaware of his surrounding. 

CONTRACT? How can I forget that I made him sign that? Shit.
