Chapter 4

Taehyung:

It's been 11 hours, grandpa still hasn't woken up. I'm afraid. What will I do without him? I don't have anyone else in this world... Grandpa loves me right? He won't leave me. Yeah.. let's not think the worse? DG said Grandpa is stable, he will wake up soon. Let's be positive. 

I should have been a better grandson...I should have listened to grandpa.. should've spend more time with him. When I was cursing myself nurse started calling DG. Grandpa woke up. I cried and cried more seeing that he is alright and now that he has woken up I'll do everything he says to make him happy.

Taehyung, you came? He asked in a weak voice. I didn't know what to do. I could only look down.

Come here taehyungie, grandpa motioned his hand for me to sit near him. I didn't realize I've been sitting on the floor this whole time. I took a chair sat near grandpa holding his hand. His face was pale and hands were cold for the hundredth time I felt more ashamed in myself.

Taehyung-ah, grandpa called. Grandpa, I'm here. I lightly pressed his hand making him feel my presence. Can you call him now? He said in a broken voice. Who grandpa? I feel like crying. Your Jimin. My grandson-in-law. I want to see him one last time... then I can die in peace. Can you do that for me, my son?

Go taehyung, get him here. DG looked at me and said with a concerning look on his face.

I'll bring him grandpa don't worry I'll bring him, with that I ran downstairs calling Jimin but his phone was switched Oh God let him not leave, I wished and hoped on the car leaving for airport. The time I reached the airport I ran to the counter to ask about the flight but it already left, Once again I try to dial Jimin's number but it's switched off. I'm late once again.

I came back defeated to the mansion. DG came asking me about Jimin. He flew for work this morning DG. I said with my head between my hand. So he won't be here? He frowned.

Yes. I don't know what else to do or say anymore. But what about Hoon-ie? What will you do? He is about to lose it I can tell. I'll call jimin once he lands, I'll tell him to come back from next flight. 

You better. With that, he left.

I entered my room and passed out on my bed as I haven't slept the whole night before. A knock on my door woke me up. Mrs Soo brought dinner for me, as I haven't eaten anything. I checked the time... it was 9:10. Maybe I should call Jimin now he must've reached the hotel by now. I came to the balcony and dialled Jimin's number.

Hi babe. He giggled. Jimin listen to me it's an emergency. But he cut me off. I missed you, babe, it's so beautiful here I was thinking maybe we should spend our next summers here. He said. Jimin listen to me I'm serious right now, I almost shouted. What happened babe? He got serious. Grandpa had a heart attack last night Jimin, he wants to see you, he wants to see us together please come back here I need you. I want to share my pain with him. Oh God! Don't worry babe I'll be there by next flight please take care of yourself. Have courage. The call ended. 

Jimin will be here by tomorrow, I told Mrs. Soo as I went back to eat what she brought me. She felt relieved hearing the news. I went to check on grandpa before going to bed again he was sleeping. I ran into DG in the hallway and told him that Jimin will be here by tomorrow evening he left a sigh of relief and patted my shoulder telling me to go to sleep.

Next Morning...

I woke up with the sound of my phone it was Jimin. I picked up the phone all sleepy.

Hey. Have you reached already?

Babe, I'm sorry but a volcano erupted here last night all flights have been cancelled as it's very bad here I cannot come. Hearing that I was shattered.
Babe? Are you there?
Hello?

Yes, Jimin I'll talk to you later. I cut the call halfway.

What can I do now? I turned on the news. It says conditions are bad in Hawaii and flights may be cancelled for a week or more. I turned off and threw the remote it broke the glass on my table. Why is my life like this?

I could not face anyone like this. I locked myself in the room for the whole day.

How are you feeling now hoon-ah? Soon-Jae asked. Feels like I'm going to die this time. Kyung Hoon said with pain. Don't say such things. Soon Jae said with tears in his eyes. 

Why are you crying, idiot? Aren't you a doctor?  Hoon laughed reaching for his face, wiping his tears. Kyung hoon-ah, please. Soon Jae was trying hard to control all of his emotions.

Is taehyung here? His best friend asked once again. Hmm. Soon Jae nodded. He didn't bring him? Hoon questioned looking at the door. He will be here anytime. Jae answered.

Lies. Looks like I'll have to die without seeing him. Kyung hoon closed his eyes. Shhh... Soon Jae broke down in tears. Soon Jae-ah promise me that you'll take care of taehyungie. Promise me. Kyung hoon asked for his friend's hand to make him promise. Keep quite. Don't say such things hoon-ah. Soon Jae left the room crying.

Where is he? Soon Jae asked one of the maids in the kitchen. In his room sir, he said he doesn't want to see anyone. They bowed.

Taehyung. Soon Jae shouted as he entered his bedroom. Y-yes DG? Taehyung sat terrified on his bed. Don't you care about your grandpa at all? You can't even fulfil his last wish? He was hurt.

DG Jimin will come straight here, whenever he reaches Korea. At that moment taehyung didn't know what to say. Excuses. I'm hearing all this from yesterday. You don't even care about a man between life and death. He was once again on the verge of crying. Don't say that DG. Say that grandpa will get better.

If you care about your grandpa just bring Jimin here anyhow. And teary-eyed he left room.

There is no other option left now. He dialled a number.

Hello Hoseok? He rushed with his words. Boss? Hoseok on the other line got nervous hearing taehyung's voice filled with sadness.

Hoseok help me please Grandpa is sick he wants to see Jimin but he can not be here anytime soon. I can't think of anything else. Please help me. Taehyung begged. Calm down, boss. I'll handle it. But what do I have to do?

Bring any guy, can be any model or actor as Jimin. I don't care I can't lose my grandpa. Taehyung said wiping his tears.

Alright boss. Don't worry give me an hour or two, I'll be there with a Jimin.
