Chapter 44

Taehyung:

It's been another 3 days. I am waiting for him to contact me but there's nothing. His words and tears broke me that night. I don't think I can watch him cry ever again. Everything is normal. Yoongi still talks to me and hoseok forgave me. It may not be like before but we talk to each other. I want to ask him about Jin but I'm too much of a coward and I want to hear it from Jin himself.

My phone screen lightened up. Hey. Can we meet? It was from Jin.

So it was 7:38 when he entered looking as handsome as ever. Sorry, I'm late. He said as he looked a little tired. No problem. It was awkward as we sat there drinking water.

Let's order something first? He said breaking the tension and I could just nod. This shit is nerve-wracking. It's like I want him to talk about it but I'm afraid what he will say. 

Taehyung, I thought a lot about what happened and the things we said to each other. He initiated the conversation as we finished with the dinner. I think I just wanted to take it out on you because I was unhappy after what happened years ago and it was easy to blame it all on you. I've been really rude to you but I hope you will understand what I did was because of the unresolved things between us. He said raising his eyebrows.

Jin, you were right for blaming me. I was an asshole but believe me when I say that I've changed. I just want you to give me a second chance. Please? I requested taking his hand into mine. 

I forgive you, taehyung. And I want to do this because I want to get rid of the resentment and anger that I've been suppressing. I'm sorry for all the hurtful things I said to you. He said with a little sad smile on his face.

Friends? He looked at my hand like he was thinking for a moment. But then he extended his hand. Friends. He said with a smile on his face.

Even though I want us to be more than that, I want him to trust me. If being friends is what it takes, I'll do it.

Jin:

I gave up. I am sick and tired of pretending and trying to act all the time. Hobi hyung was right, my anger made me blind. He was right that I can never completely move on if I keep holding this grudge. So, I decided to forgive taehyung.

His face lit up when I agreed to be his friend. He convinced me to get back to the project. I denied but he was persistent so I had to give in.

I was back at the hotel two weeks after our reconciliation. Taehyung tried his best to spend time with me, even at the lunch he joined me, yoongi and hobi hyung. I never thought I would say this but he is really different from the taehyung that I knew in the past. He has matured and now takes his work seriously. It's funny how everyone is so scared of him at the hotel.

Days have gone and I am now used to his company. I guess it was right decision to forget the past and move on.

Hey Jin, are you going to the airport? Yoongi asked me at the lunch. Airport, but why? Taehyung interrupted. Alex... I mean his boyfriend is coming back. Listen, let's go together. Yoongi said and I agreed. Taehyung was sulking after the lunch and I didn't see him for the rest of the office hours.

Taehyung:

So he is dating Alex. What did you think taehyung that he will keep crying for you all these years? My subconscious asked me. Jin is anyone's dream man. He is perfect. Of course, he is taken but I am not going to give up. As I said, I am not letting him go this time. 

But what can I do?

I see them together all the time now. Jin looks happy, it's the widest of his smile. I can only watch from afar. Everyone seems to like that guy. Yoongi and hoseok also know him.

OMG! Jin-nim is so lucky. I heard one of my staff gushing. Did you see all the arrangements? Their babies will be so beautiful. The other girl said squealing. What are you guys talking about? I asked them.

S-sir sorry, it won't happen again. They bowed as if I was going to jail them. Alright, but what is it you were talking about? I asked and they looked at each other.

A g-gentleman booked ballroom to propose his boyfriend. We just came to know that he is Jin-nim's boyfriend. She muttered.

Third POV:

I'm doomed JK. That white guy is going to take away Jin and I can't do anything. Taehyung said as he sat in front of his friend.

Tae, last I remember you decided to be friends with Jin? Jungkook said dropping the file in his hand to the table. 

Uhh... about that. I wanted him to trust me first that's why I decided to be his friend first. But that's not the point, Alex is going to propose Jin and there is no chance for me now. 

So? You are going to give up, just like that? Jungkook raised his eyebrow. 

Just like that? JK, I have brought nothing but pain in his life. How do I compete with that perfect guy? You don't know how happy Jin is whenever they are together. 

Do you love him, tae? Jungkook asked.

I-I... do I? Taehyung murmured.

This is the problem, Tae. You act all Jealous that he is with someone else, you want to be more than friends but you are not sure that feelings for him or not. You need to make up your mind and man up. Jungkook said.

Just then taehyung's phone vibrated. It was a text from Yoongi. "Hey man, there's a party tonight. Alex told me to invite all our friends. It's at your hotel at 7."

Shit. I'm screwed. Taehyung pulled out his hair.

Taehyung sat at the corner of the room watching two lovers dancing happily. Jin was giggling at something Alex whispered. 

Tae, what a surprise. Irene took a seat next to him. What are you doing here? Stalking me again? Taehyung said irritated. 

Well. My dad is a businessman and we have some shares in your company and I somehow know Min Yoongi. Just met him at a party. She said with a smile on her face. I missed you.

Can you just leave me alone? Taehyung said glaring. No, because I don't want any girl or boy in this room to hit on you. She replied.

Then suddenly the lights turned off.  A spotlight was on Jin, who was red with all the attention. Alex started singing 'To Make You Feel My Love' and by the end of the song he was on his knee with a ring in his hand. 

Taehyung went blank at that moment. He came out of his trance when everyone cheered and Jin and Alex kissed.

I LOVE HIM.
