chaos hunt - part 4

Pinkie kept bouncing, while Knuckles just walked. "It's gonna be a long day", Knuckles mumbled.

"Are we gonna find one??", Knuckles now got impatient, hundreds of previous digs were....a failure.

Suddenly Pinkie bounced, and her hair puffed up more than usual, her body shook and her hooves started jiggling, she gave a loud gasp, "my pinkie sense says, we will find a rare material up ahead!"

Pinkie giggled and sealed as she ran forward, Knuckles sighed, "please don't let it be another can", but he ran after her, only a slightly hopeful now.

Pinkie stopped in her tracks in front of some bushes, as Knuckles accidentally bumped into her, "what are you doing?" Knuckles said, "SSHHH!" Pinkie almost spitted on Knuckles' face. "They'll hear us!", Knuckles looked ahead of the bushes as he saw hundreds of small insect-like creatures as they carried, many objects, and a blue one had a yellow chaos emerald.

"THE CHAOS EMRAL-" "SHHHH!!!" Pinkie interrupted Knuckles, now literally spitting the 'shhhh' on his face and looked back at them.

The small-insect like creatures (called parasprites) looked at the bush and spotted Pinkie and Knuckles, before they could bend down. "Oh no! We have been spotted! It is time we take action!" Pinkie jumped from the bush, and looked at the parasprites,

"You had caused ENOUGH damage to Ponyville, now hand us that emerald!" Pinkie pointed towards the yellow chaos emerald. Knuckles jumped out too, he charged forward, and swung his fists left to right, to shoo away the parasprites and get to the emerald, but they kept dodging and protecting the emerald.

"Knuckles wait!" Knuckles ignored Pinkie and kept punching the air. Pinkie just laughed at his silliness, and took out a trumpet, "well lucky for us, I never forget to carry these around!"

Pinkie blew on the trumpet and created a rhythm all the parasprites danced to it and left the place and Pinkie made them go away. Knuckles' mouth hung open, as he tried to catch his breath by the previous, (kind of) fight with the parasprites.

As the parasprites were far enough, Pinkie kept back the trumpet and smiled at Knuckles cheekily, "how'd you do that?", Knuckles asked, "that's how we are supposed to shoo them away" Pinkie said. Knuckles smiled and gave her a thumbs up and quickly grabbed the emerald that they had left behind, as it lay on the floor.

"Ooooh! SPARKLY!!" Pinkie said, as she stared at the glowing emerald. Knuckles smiled as the emerald glowed, in his palms.

Fluttershy still had the small mouse on her back, as Tails looked at it, "so how are we gonna, find it's home?" Tails asked, as Fluttershy looked around, "well, I'm sure his family is searching for him too, so I do know we are going to take him home!". Tails nodded. Tails looked at his now, loudly beeping locator, "I think it senses a chaos emerald up ahead, we mush keep moving forward".

A few moments later, the mouse squeaked and looked at the front, Fluttershy followed his gaze. Two muce looked around with worried faces, something sparkling behind them.

"Oh look! They must be his parents!", " Fluttershy and Tails ran forward as the beeping grew louder. The two mice smiled at the small mouse Fluttershy was holding.

They also guarded a beautiful purple emerald, "it's a chaos emerald!" Tails said, Fluttershy, set the mouse down as it ran towards it's parents, but suddenly something stomped in front of it, causing the mouse to run back to Fluttershy.

Fluttershy looked at the creature which made a border between the mouse and his parents, and gasped, "a cockatrice!", "a cockatrice?" Tails was about to look at it when, Fluttershy, stood in front of him, blocking his view,

"Don't look at it in the eye!, it turns you to stone!" Tails, quickly looked away. The cockatrice, kept following them and did not let them pass, "then how do we get behind it?" Tails said, Fluttershy thought for some seconds, as she looked at the two terrified mice behind the cockatrice, and gave a sigh.

"Tails, hold him", Fluttershy gave the mouse to Tails as he looked at her confused. Fluttershy looked forward, slowly, and met the red eyes of the cockatrice.

" Fluttershy what are you doing?"

"Trust me in this Tails, just close your eyes".

Tails and the mouse closed their eyes tightly, while Fluttershy, tried performing, her 'stare' at the cockatrice, as Tails looked slightly at Fluttershy, he noticed her hooves turning a solid stone as it climbed up her thighs,

"Fluttershy, you're turning into a stone!" Tails said, but Fluttershy still did not stop. "Tails, I can do this, at least for the mice" Fluttershy and the cockatrice had a staring contest, her hooves were now full stone, as it kept up her tail and stomach, Fluttershy, nor the cockatrice, either were giving up.

The cockatrice felt uneasy, but still stared, but Fluttershy gave her hardest stare. The stone magic reached her mane and crawled up her neck as it almost reached her eyes, the cockatrice gave up and ran away, the magic perished and Fluttershy could move freely again. She sighed in relief.

Tails smiled in satisfaction, "Fluttershy, that was awesome!", Fluttershy gave a small giggle, "thank you", Tails handed the mouse to Fluttershy and went towards the parents as Fluttershy set him down, the three shared a longing hug, Fluttershy looked at the emeralds and smiled, "umm, excuse me, but where did you find that emerald?",

The biggestmouse squeaked in reply, "oh so, umm, they emerald is actually a magical gem, which my friend here needs, he needs it to get home, for he doesn't belong here, is it ok, if we borrow it?" The mice discussed with each other, and looked at Fluttershy and then squeaked some word, "really?" Fluttershy smiled,

"You can understand animals?" Tails asked,

"why yes, it was a gift from nature, and with it's help I can interact and help all the adorable critters!", "what'd it say?" Tails asked in concern, "well, it said, since by bringing back their son, we have already done alot to help them, so to repay the help, they'll let us take the emerald!". Fluttershy answered, as the mice returned the emerald to Tails, who petted the mice one last time.

Fluttershy smiled, "thank you so much, little friends!", "we really are thankful", Tails grinned.
