Chaos hunt - part 6

Cream and Rainbow Dash looked everywhere but not a single sign of any chaos emerald, "ugh, where is that chaos emerald?" Rainbow looked through bushes and behind rocks, Cream searched on trees and anywhere on the ground, then they came to each other, "did you find it?" Rainbow asked as Cream shook her head, "it's really hard to find anything in this forest!", "but we must keep searching!" Rainbow and Cream headed forward. As they looked around more, Rainbow flew to the sky, and searched for any sparkling object, until, her eyes landed on a speck a shimmer of an oceanic colour, as a huge sleeping manticore cuddled with it. She flew back to Cream. "Cream, I think I found something! Follow me!" Cream followed Rainbow where she went and stopped and Rainbow landed on the ground, "shhh..." Rainbow said Cream to be quite and Cream nodded, Cream looked at the front and saw an unfamiliar creature which had a body and head of a lion, a tail of a dragon and bat/Dragon wings, it was sleeping, and there it was! It cuddled a green-ish blue chaos emerald.

"What is that?", Cream asked as Rainbow slowly walked towards it, "it's a manticore, we need to be very careful, they can eat us up!" Cream quietly followed Rainbow as, Rainbow flew towards it and bent down slowly to snatch the emerald, suddenly the manticore moved, and Rainbow back up. The manticore let out a huge yawn and held the emerald tighter. "Aw man!" Rainbow whispered, "so now what?" Cream said, while Rainbow thought of a plan. Rainbow stood in front of the manticore, and whistled as the creature woke up from it's sleep and growled at Rainbow, "hey big guy, think you can catch me?", the manticore roared and started chasing Rainbow, luckily she was fast. Cream slowly, flew down from the tree she was hiding in and reached out her hand to pick up the emerald, that the manticore left behind. Cream quickly grabbed it, but the manticore turned it's head and spotted Cream, Cream looked at it terrified, Rainbow looked in horror, "hey, wait no! I'm here, catch me!" Rainbow tried bringing the manticore to her, but it charged towards Cream instead. Cream trembled in fear, she could not move, she held the emerald tightly.

The manticore charged towards Cream, but Rainbow couldn't let this happen, she dashed towards the manticore, passed it and grabbed Cream, and then flew away, Rainbow released Cream as she flew on her own, "what if it follows, it has wings!" Cream said, Rainbow smiled, "don't worry, although they have wings, they can't fly properly, they're body are too heavy", the manticore growled and jumped to reach for Cream, but Rainbow Dash pulled her forward, which prevented the manticore's grab. Cream looked at the seagreen chaos emerald and smiled, "we've found one!" Rainbow smirked, "you're welcome".

"Wait, what are they doing here?" Twilight said, "oh no", Sonic said. Sonic stepped.out of the bush, as Twilight called out his name, but was forced to come out herself. Two figures turned back and were laughing, "HEY!" Sonic said, and Twilight stopped next to him, the figures turned around, "DISCORD?", "EGGMAN?" Sonic and Twilight said at the same time. "Oh hello old friend, and isn't that princess Twilight Sparkle with you?" Eggman said, as he pointed at Twilight, Twilight was shocked, "how'd you-","princess Twilight Sparkle, so glad to see you!" Discord, a dragoneaques, flew to Twilight, "Discord, what are you doing here?" Twilight said as Discord flew around, "oh!" Discord now flew to Sonic, "mmmm" Discord put his hand under his chin as he judged Sonic, "are you a cat of some kind?", "I'M A HEDGEHOG!" Sonic said. "Nice joke, Sonic the hedgehog" Discord said, and went back to where Eggman stood, "but I am..wait, how do you know me?", Discord laughed, thanks to my new ally! Discord said as he pointed at Eggman, who grinned evilly, "who is that guy with the moustache again?" Twilight whispered, "Eggman, but I have given him lots of nicknames, and who the heck is that guy, who keeps calling me a cat", "that's Discord, the Lord of chaos,", Twilight replied sarcastically. "Off with the whispering, you might wanna see something interesting!" Eggman said as he took out a green chaos emerald, Twilight and Sonic gasped, "how do you have it?" Sonic said, "let's just say, I took with some help" Eggman said as a bright light shot to the sky.

Spike noticed a white light, and looked at Cheese, "what happened out there?", "chao chao!" Cheese, pulled Spike. "Ok, let's check it out", Spike and Cheese ran to the source of light and peeked from the bushes, as they saw Sonic and Twilight in front of DISCORD and...Spike couldn't make out who the other was, as that guy sat on a kind of a flying device, he looked mean though a thick, bright light, made it's way in the middle. "Oh no, what if they're in trouble!" Spike said, "chao chao" Cheese agreed, "we need to inform everyone!".

At the same time all of the others had noticed the bright light which appeared in the middle of the jungle, and they all heard Spike too, "EVERYONE! IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, SONIC AND TWILIGHT SEEMS TO BE IN TROUBLE, GO TOWARDS THE LIGHT, THEY ARE THERE!" Spike screamed and collapsed as he breathed heavily, "chao chao" Cheese patted him on his shoulders, "thanks Cheese, I gotta admit, I've screamed that loud in my whole life!".

"Do you here that?" Pinkie said, "yes, and Sonic and Twilight are in trouble, we need to get to the light!" Knuckles said and they both ran there. "We need to go!" Fluttershy said, as Tails nodded, Fluttershy looked the three mice and waved them goodbye before departing with Tails. "This is terrible!" Rarity said, "let's go!" Amy said and they were off too. "Well, let's not delay" Rouge said as she and Applejack zoomed towards the light. "Oh no!" Cream gasped, "well let's go then!" Rainbow said as they flew to where the light appeared.

At last everyone arrived on time, "hey Sonic, hey Twilight" Pinkie chirped, "guys? Why are you here?" Twilight said, "we heard Spike telling us you were in trouble", Fluttershy said, "I guess we are, and there's the main problem", Sonic pointed at Discord and Eggman, everyone gasped, "wait Eggman got sucked in too?" Tails said, "that's bad!", "quite, you fool!" Eggman yelled, "no, civilised manners, mph!" Rarity said, "D-D-Discord?" Fluttershy said, "what are you trying to do?", Discord, "oh Fluttershy dear, I'm just doing a job", "what job?" Applejack said, "you'll find out soon enough", "we want answers now Discord!" Rainbow said and looked over at Eggman, "and you! One with the funny moustache! Who are you, and what do want?", "grrr, it's NOT a silly moustache, and my name is Dr Eggman, an arch nemesis  of Sonic the hedgehog", "and now that the whole gang is here, we do want to show you something special!" Discord added, as the light grew wider and brighter, as everyone squinted their eyes, from the brightness, and at last, the light was gone. Everyone opened their eyes, and what they saw, left them in shock.
