Twilight and Sonic stopped as they heard a familiar laugh, "what are they up to now?", Sonic said as he and Twilight hid behind a nearby tree. They looked forward, where they saw two figures, the two none other than Eggman and Discord.

"This is amazing, I have got everything to be the most powerful man!" Eggman roared, Discord looked at him, "why would you only need those lousy gems to make you strong?" Discord said, "I mean, me, hehehe...being the Lord of chaos, I don't really need those gems, I've got powers you know", " Quite fool! I've got my reasons, which is really none of your concerns", Eggman said, flying on his egg mobile, he pressed a button and up came to sets of glass protecting two sets of powerful gems, "the chaos emeralds, and the harmony stones are only under my grasps", Eggman smiled evilly. Sonic and Twilight gasped.

"They've got all of them, what do we do?", Twilight whispered, "We do what we have to", Sonic came out of his hiding, "Sonic what are you doing?!", Twilight tried calling Sonic but, he ignored, "over here losers!" Sonic called out as Eggman and Discord turned around. "well, well, well look like you found us", Eggman scoffed, Twilight too gave up and came out from hiding, "give those back", Twilight demanded, "oh, and that lame...purple pony princess!", Eggman laughed. Twilight growled, "We've come to ask for what's not yours, give us thos gems Eggman", Twilight said, " hohohoho, oh how cute~ a sweet little Pony princess trynna "Your annoying friends didn't tag along, I see?", Eggman said, Discord floated above the ground.

"Friendship is useless.."

Twilight's eyes widened at his words, "Discord, what's gotten into you?", "there's nothing wrong with me, just a little cringed by the word 'friendship'", Discord came over to Twilight and Sonic, "and you always said, friends have your back, where they now?", Twilight got uncomfortable, but Sonic didn't stay silent, "it wasn't their fault they didn't come, the princess said we could handle this alone", Discord raised an eyebrow "if friends were really important to them too, they would've disobeyed and come and help you, but I don't think they care", Discord circled around them and stopped at the front, "friendship is WORTHLESS", Discord's eye now glowed a purple colour as the same purple aura poured out his eyes, for some seconds, and went back to normal. Sonuc sighed, "even if we'd be needing help, we know they'll come...somehow".

"Well, let's test your 'friendship' shall we?"

He snapped his fingers as a cage came crashing down, but as the cage was about to catch them both, Twilight quickly pushed Sonic out of the way, Sonic not able to grab Twilight in time, fell to the ground, the cage captured Twilight, as she tried to use her magic to break the bars but it was useless. "Twilight!" Sonic clutched the bars in which Twilight was locked in, "Sonic, don't worry about me, you can do this, just grab the gems quick!" Twilight said, Sonic looked at Twilight and back to the grinning Discord and Eggman.

"You are going to pay!" Sonic charged forward to Discord and Eggman, and suddenly Eggman pushed a button and the two sets of gems started to glow, again the same neon light shot to the sky, and went back down making a loop then hit Sonic from the back, the light travelled through him as it got thicker, "SONIC!", Twilight blasted the cage but it was still too strong, the light then dispersed, making the whole place bright.

The last thing there, was Sonic's lay on the ground wincing in pain, Twilight gasped in shock, "ugghh..." Sonic tried to get up, but his arms gave out as he crashed back down on to the ground, Twilight watched in horror and then glared at Eggman and Discord. "A beautiful move Discord", Eggman laughed, "but maybe we're just getting started".

"you-YOU!!!" Twilight shouted, Discord and Eggman looked at her, "this is your fault! Those gems, you're gonna use them, only to bring misery and destruction!, You don't deserve them!!", Eggman tightened his fists, "and what are you gonna do about it? Your stupid friends won't be here any time soon!".

"You really think so?", a voice said, Eggman, Discord and Twilight had their eyes widened, as thick blue smoke covered the area, making everything unable to see.
