Rose's POV:

It takes me twenty three hours to get from L.A. to New Orleans, time in which I read over the reports Madison and Chablis wrote about their time in Michael's childhood home and the story they had heard from Michael's Mother. Not that Michael was a willing participant in the actions and crimes committed by the cult, but they were right. He is the son of the Devil. When I get to the school in New Orleans, I walk in and see that John Henry is the only one in the sitting room. "Rose," he smiles and walks over to me, "I'm glad you came."

"What were you worried I wouldn't?"

John Henry shrugs, "yes and no. I know you have a good head on your shoulders, but I also know you listen to your heart more." I take a deep breath and nod, "are we good?"

I sigh, "yeah, sure."

"Oh, now, now, Rosie," I hear Cordelia from the doorway, "even I didn't believe that." She walks over to the two of us. "The two of you have some issues you need to work out before we can get anywhere." Cordelia sits down, "Rose would you like to go first."

"What do you mean?"

"Voice your thoughts, comments, concerns. Anything you feel that John Henry needs to hear or any issues you have."

I nod, taking a deep breath, "I feel like the only real issue we had was they you insisted I had feelings for Michael and was 'under his spell.' Even after I told you repeatedly I didn't. Would I be here if I was? Did you ever stop to think that's what drove me to Michael ?" John Henry sighs and rolls his eyes, "knock that crap off."

John Henry looks over to me, "I don't wanna hear the drama. Kindness ain't my brand, sweetheart."

I chuckle, "I guess that's why you ran."

"Try dealin' with that whole school on a daily basis."

"You stink at communicating."

"Poor Rosie, are you sad?"

I scoff, "not as sad as you without your power. I don't wanna fight. For once, just listen."

John Henry crosses his arms, "I teach high school boys, were you expecting flowers?"

"I went to that school for one thing."

"And I gave you everything."

"By giving me nothing?"

"I did what I had to do."

"No, you only did what's best for you."

"Well, you could learn a thing or two. When push comes to shove you gotta do what you gotta do."

"You were only there when it was convenient for you. You never called to say 'I miss you.'"

"Are you kidding? Is this some kind of joke? You need to let it go. You're stronger with those daddy issues."

"My daddy issues are the only reason I'm with you."

"My attention would've made you softer."

"Oh, should I be proud? Don't turn this thing around."

John Henry nods and sighs, "you're right. I'm sorry. I should have been around more. I should have pushed for us to be more open and I should have been more honest with you. But Rose, I really do love you."

I sigh and look around the room, "I love you too, but I don't know if I can go back to hiding and sneaking around. I don't want that life, or relationship, again. The only thing that made our relationship even remotely wrong was that I was your student. I'm 19 years old, so I am a legal adult."

Cordelia pauses, "wait a minute, how old is Michael."

I look over to her, "the officers old Ariel he was 18, so he could leave and go wherever he wanted under his own free will. After we bailed him out that is."
