Third Person POV:

After they speak to the girls and put them to bed, Cordelia and Myrtle head outside to speak, "They almost died, Myrtle." Cordelia shakes her head, "The damn spell didn't even work."

"But it did, Delia. Our dear Mallory was able to go back and pierce the veil. If she can do that, she can do what's needed."

"Yes, but is she going to need Rose's help for that? From what they said Rose couldn't do anything but hear and see what Mallory did. But does Mallory need Rose's help to go back? Michael will go after Rose first and if he takes her away from Mallory while they are bound together like that, I don't know what will happen." Cordelia shakes her head, "Our powers are tied. Mallory will never really be ready until I'm gone."

"We're not ready to let you go."

"I can't stop thinking about my mother. I've spent so much of my life running in the opposite direction of Fiona. God, I hated her. For never thinking beyond her own selfish desires, even when our coven was in danger. But now here I am... and I'm not ready to let go either."

"We all die, petal." Myrtle chuckles, "some of us make rather a habit of it."

Cordelia chuckles, "I feel I've made so many bad decisions, so many wrong turns. I don't trust myself to know what's right anymore."

"Are you talking about kicking Rose out of the coven?"

"Yes, I am." Cordelia nods, "I kicked her out because she tried to learn something I didn't approve of. God, it was so long ago I don't even remember what it was. I turned my back on her, because she tried to overcome something I was afraid of."

"Delia, the way I see it, is you had to send her to the Warlocks or this wouldn't have happened."

"Exactly." Cordelia nods, tears welling up in her eyes. "I wouldn't have put her in Michael's path. She wouldn't have ended up being played and betrayed by him. She wouldn't have been the one to teach him."

"Someone would have, probably one of those men, who would have made him hate us even more. And if it wasn't for Michael's love for her, she would be dead and we wouldn't have had the time to hide here."

Cordelia leans forward, "you'd tell me if I've become her. My mother."

"Just the fact that you're asking me this gives you the answer. Fiona never questioned anything. She never took the time to ponder the impact of her actions. Never gave a passing thought about those she hurt... all just... petty obstacles in her path to her base wants and desires. My dear Delia, you're not your mother, you'll never be your mother, and the truth is, even if Fiona walked this earth for a thousand years, she would be but a flicker, pale in the shadows, while you light up the sky like a fiery conflagration."

"We must invoke the Sacred Taking. Let my power pour into her. It will accelerate the process. I die so she can be born."

"Don't be daft." Myrtle shakes her head, "the coven needs you."

"What coven? Everyone is dead. Michael is coming and there's nothing we can do to stop him."

"We don't need to stop him. We simply need to buy some time."
