"I don't like this." Remus bounced anxiously on his feet as he stood there in front of the door of this... actually extremely nice looking cottage. Whoever it was that took care of it was really good at what they do. Remus bit his lip trying to ground himself as he took a deep breath. "Ok... Ok. Just... knock."

"G-G-Go aw-way." Remus froze up before he even had a chance to knock and his eyes narrowed at the door.

"I can't do that." Remus frowned as the sound of shuffling could be heard on the other side. "I came because of your father."

"He's-s n-not her-re." Remus placed his hands on the door softly as he tried to listen to what the man was saying. He didn't sound all that well. "C-Come back w-when he is-s."

"I'm sorry but... that's what I came to talk to you about. See... Your father has been..."

"I-I'm n-not all-low-wed to t-t-talk to s-strang-gers when he's-s n-not home. Go aw-way please." Remus stepped back with this sad look in his eyes. "Please go away?"

"Your father has been imprisoned." There was a slight crash on the other side making Remus jump and put his hands back on the door as if he was going to push it open. "Hey, are you ok?"

"He's been what?" The door opened only a little bit giving Remus only a crack inside to see the person. Needless to say, he didn't see the person. "That's impossible. He's left for a week-long trip. It's only been two days."

"I'm sorry to say that.... but... Your father was detained yesterday afternoon for aggression towards me and attempt at thievery." The door opened a bit wider and Remus sighed. "My brother didn't want to get you but... I felt you deserved to know what happened to him."

"My father really is..." Remus nodded and the door opened all the way shocking him to see just who was on the other end.

"Virgil Beaute?" Virgil frowned as he looked the man up and down. Remus was stunned. When he came to find the man's son the last person he honestly expected was Virgil, the town's black smudge... not that Remus ever saw anyone as unnecessary or pointless but... the town talks. It took a bit but Remus managed to get out of his head enough to get back on topic. "I can take you to where he's being held... if you want to see him that is but..."

"I'm not allowed to leave the house without express permission." Remus's eyes went wide as Virgil shifted slightly obviously uncomfortable. "So... I can't go even if I wanted to."

"Your father was the one that told us to get you." Virgil tensed with a curt nod before going back in and grabbing his coat, putting it on over his hoodie. "What are you doing?"

"If Father said for me to come... then I don't have a choice. He'll be expecting me."

"He's in a cell." Virgil paused for a second before shaking his head and grabbing his own bag he kept hidden for those few moments he does get out. "You don't have to..."

"Trust me. I do."

Virgil froze up the moment he arrived. It was a freaking castle. When he had heard his father was detained he didn't expect it to be in a castle. Especially since there were no castles. Or at least no one knew there were. Virgil bit his lip anxiously as he followed behind Remus. He also hadn't expected the towns layabout to be the one to take him. Then again he knew Remus wasn't like that. He'd always here from Patton how his friend Logan was doing as an inventer and how Logan's boyfriend was doing. The man did more than just paint but just like with Virgil, nobody paid him any attention.

"Virgil?" Virgil tensed horribly as that familiar dark voice lulled through the black. His eyes met with a man in the cell and he stumbled a bit. "Virgil is that you?" Virgil ran to the cage with this look in his eyes as he tried to open the cage but obviously his attempt was fruitless.
