"Uh, Ro?" Virgil stood there highly confused as Roman wrapped the light grey cloak around his shoulders. "What are you doing?" Roman laughed as he pulled the hood up and shot Virgil a very silly look.

"Does it look ok? I gave you my fathers so I kind got left with my mothers." Roman smiled as he spun around a bit making Virgil's confusion grow. "I know the purpose is to be hidden but... A prince as got to slay."

"You look great but... Roman, it's not going to matter once we pass the border. Wouldn't that just disappear... or worse not disappear and then you're tangled up in it." Roman just laughed as fixed Virgil's cloak around him better and tied it while Virgil just shot him this confused look. "Roman... What are we doing?"

"We're going into town. I need to speak with my brother and give him the big news." Virgil frowned as his confusion grew making Roman chuckle. "Obviously, I'm going to tell you first but... I want it to be a surprise."

"Roman, I don't like surprises." Roman rolled his eyes playfully as he opened the door gesturing for the younger to go out first. "I mean... Come one. A surprise? It's like if I had a great day. I went and got the best fruit. I got to pet a very friendly kitten. I even found a dollar outside but then randomly... BAM! Suprise." Roman jumped as Virgil clapped his hands loudly irritating both their ears. "I just found out my best friend died and now I'm all alone in our shared house that I can't afford on my own so I'm going to get evicted and..."

"Virgil, breathe." Virgil gulped down the air as Roman rubbed his arms to help ground him. "I can promise you it is nothing like that, My love. You're going to freak out."

"Freaking out isn't..."

"Virgil, trust me, please?" Virgil frowned as he forced himself to nod letting Roman lead him outside. Virgil couldn't help but melt into the air. That was something he noticed was unique to him alone. Where Roman likes to be outside simply because he doesn't really like being cooped up all the time, Virgil has to be outside. At least once a day... Nature helps to calm him and keep him regulated. There was one time Virgil was stuck inside for three days straight, neither remembered why, but... Virgil was not happy. He got very depressed and even a bit sick. When they realized what it was Roman absolutely refused to allow Virgil to ever be stuck inside again. Virgil smiled as Roman excitedly tugged him along until they got to the border. To say Roman was a giddy mess would be an understatement. "Ok Ok Ok... Virgil... close your eyes."

"No." Roman groaned playfully as he grabbed both of Virgil's arms in a soft but firm grip, his back to the border, as he stood directing in front of it. "I'm not closing my eyes." Roman took a step back as he joked around.

"Come on, close them." Another step as Virgil just shook his head. "Virgil..." He whined as he forced another step all while Virgil just gave him a stink eye, not even noticing what has happening. "Close them. Close them. Close them. Close them..." Roman took one final step putting himself directly over the borderline with it in between the two of them and smiled brightly as Virgil just growled.

"I am NOT closing my damn eyes, Roman. Just tell me what the hell you're going on about." Roman literally couldn't speak. He was just giggling as Virgil's face fell in annoyance. "Roman, we can't just stay out here all day. What the hell is going on?" Virgil frowned as Roman just choked back more laughter. "If you're not going to tell me then forget it." Virgil rolled his eyes as he pushed past Roman and started for town. "I really don't understand you sometimes. You act like a child."

"Well, I was stuck alone in a castle since I was 8 years old. Makes it a bit hard to 'grow up' when there aren't any grown-ups." Virgil smirked as he waved Roman off. "Besides you love how excited I can get, especially over the food you make... and the stories you tell..." Roman quickly spun around till he was in front of him walking backward and he beamed. "I can't help it sometimes Virgil. You just make me really happy."

"I'm gla-..." Virgil stopped short as Roman's beaming grin got even wider. "Wait..."

"Did you finally notice? I've been waiting." Roman giggled as he took Virgil's hand and spun him around only to laugh as Virgil shocked expression. "Say something."

"You're over the border." Roman nodded spastically as he shook with energetic glee. "You're... You're over the..."

"I'm over the border and I'm still human, Hun. I'm not forced to shift anymore." Roman melted as he pulled Virgil in and gently brushing his hand over Virgil's temple. "I'm not... 'cursed' anymore."

"But you're still..."

"I'm always going to be, but... Now, I'm not stuck anymore." Tears spilled from Virgil's eyes as Roman laughed, trying to brush them away. He gave a soft kiss to Virgil's nose as he himself teared up. "I'm over the border and I'm human... I'm not held back anymore. Love... I'm 'free'."

"How? How is this... Wait... Is that how you saved me?" Roman nodded as he tucked Virgil's hair back. "Did you know?"

"I was just as surprised, honestly. I only confirmed it when I went and got Logan. Hun..." Roman laughed as he stepped back as gestured to himself. "Surprise!"

"You son of a..." Virgil slammed into him, kissing him hard as their tears of joy never ended. "Best fucking surprise ever. I love you so much."

"I'm glad..." Roman giggled as he pulled away with a slightly embarrassed look. "...because I actually might die now." Virgil frowned as Roman rolled his eyes. "I've got to tell Remus I can be human over the border... and how I told Logan when I came to get him, while Remus was there in the house, without actually telling him until now so... "

"Remus is so going to kill you." The two just melted into the laughter as they walked the rest of the way cuddled up into each others arms. "I'm happy for you Roman."

"I'm just happy I can do more with you now." Roman beamed as he held Virgil tighter. "Now we can go on an actually proper date."

"I can't wait."
