You stay there for a little while, rocking Jason gently until his sobs subsided into very weak sniffles. Tears began to fall down your eyes too. Normally the toymaker delt with his emotions by swinging his tools around until he either hit someone or could see a sizeable blood puddle on the already stained wooden floor. This was far from what you were used to. Sure, Jason still reveled in his violent nature but recently he had a softer side, like the human he used to be was trying to shine through. You recall one time long before this. Jason had finished a painstakingly detailed doll, made from one of his latest victims. The skin was porcelain, the lips were red rouge and a pattern lay on one side of her face. This pattern gave the illusion of cracking skin, like the doll's face would shatter at any moment. She was indeed beautiful. Shortly Candy visited and broke the toymaker's masterpiece beyond fixing. In that moment you felt and saw something in Jason you had never seen, not even during your fight with Slender. It almost looked like his face became scarred under the skin, his eyes so bright they appeared white. You managed to subdue Jason before anything else transpired but that moment shook you to your very soul, not able to forget the emptiness in those golden eyes you loved so dearly.

You couldn't see them now though, the toymaker curled in a ball against you with his eyes closed. His sharp nails dug into your back, feeling the blood pour down your back from the puncture wounds. You didn't feel the pain though, eyes fixed on your creator as he crumbled under your touch as you run your hand down the side of his face gently. He grips your hand tightly, the blood pouring down your back like a stream now as the wound had opened up. Jason's gaze meets yours, able to see a sense of disgust in his eyes. He knew he was weak and he didn't want you to see that. He wanted to be feared as the monster he was, by the world and by you. However, hiding your emotions from those constantly around you wasn't easy but up till now the toymaker had been successful. You lift Jason's head up to yours from the back, trying your best to keep hold of his hand, the blood making it slippy and difficult to keep hold of.

Ever heard of the phrase " Break them with kindness"? You found yourself resorting to that a lot with the toymaker, breaking down the barriers he puts up with your love for him. It wasn't easy at times, a few failed trails but eventually you found a pattern that seemed to work. You found Jason to enjoy soft touches on his face, a small kiss following. It seemed to calm him and bring him back to a more tolerable manner. Your lips meet, warm and kind. You both close your eyes as the kiss persisted, your heart praying and holding on that this technique would work once again. You part, needing to get some breath back and opening your eyes. Jason's smile was sharp but was certainly one of happiness as he sat up in your arms, his golden eyes dulled and back to their normal colour. He wraps his arm around your waist and brings you close to him, placing your hand on his chest to give a little space between you both. Something didn't feel right though. Under the fabric and skin on his chest you felt a small fluttering, a hum. You wondered what it could have been, brought back to reality by Jason's soft and hypnotic voice.

" Thank you my dear. I don't know what came over me. You always help don't you? " He chuckles softly, bringing you both to your feet. If there was any time to ask him what was going on it would be now. You knew Jason knew more then he let on about what was happening to him and you felt as his " chosen one " you had a right to know more then anyone. You sight deeply, the toymaker's smile fading as he turns to you with a puzzling look on his features. It was now or never, best bring out your wild card.

" Jason, you would tell me anything wouldn't you? I mean, I am your chosen " His brow deepens at your wording, putting his still blood stained hands on your shoulders.

" What are you insinuating? " His tone was harsh but also smooth, like a parent trying to scold a child in a way that didn't result in them hating them. You look away, not wanting to meet his beautiful eyes for what you were about to ask. Your heart was thumping greatly but there was no turning back now.

" I want the truth. What is happening to you? " You could see his eyes widen from the corner of your own. He was most certainly shocked by your forwardness, never having done so before in fear of being punished. You expected the same from him this time, closing your eyes tightly but instead feeling the toymaker grab your hands in his and sighing deeply. He leads you to the lone couch that lay at the back of the room next to candle light. The same one you shared an intimate moment not too long ago. The place where you once fell asleep atop Jason when you first met, the memory bringing a soft smile to your face as he sits you both down. You were no longer nervous but worried as you listened to every word the toymaker said.

" My dear, my dear (Y/N). I should have explained this sooner. A monster like me isn't meant to feel the emotions you bring forth upon me. Love, kindness and loyalty. There is a reason for my more violent outbursts and destructive demenor. " You grip Jason's hand tighter, a small smile gracing his face before quickly fading.

" When someone like me begins to feel things they shouldn't then we begin to change. I don't know how severe it will be. I don't know what will happen but if I don't keep my monstrous side and human side in check a monster could be unleashed unlike anything I could have even imagined. I'm sorry my dear, rest assured my feelings for you would remain however. "

Your heart sank. If Jason changed then there isn't any knowing what would happen. Tears fell from your eyes as the toymaker holds you closely. The tables having turned. You had once comforted him but now he was doing that for you.

How ironic.
