Last night when they lay in each other's embrace nothing else mattered. All the chaos surrounding them was of little importance. They were standing in the eye of the hurricane that they had created.
Henry was woken up by the golden rays of the sun that gently peeped through the windows and delightfully hit his face. He was laying in an uncomfortable position but he stayed still in fear of waking up the beautiful angel laying on him. He couldn't help but smile at his wife. Henry had almost forgotten how alluring yet innocent she looked. That contrast gave her a unique beauty.
Her smooth chocolate hue, defined face structure made her appear seductive. Yet the innocence coming from her big, glossy and chocolate eyes gave such great contrast. He could never forget her eyes. They had been permanently imprinted into his mind, he wasn't complaining though.
Today was Saturday and because he was free he wanted to take Amina out to the art market. It was every Sunday and Amina and Henry would always go there but they had not been there in over 6 months. It was their hidden gem, it was always so beautiful and vibrant but it was never crowded. The people were not the ones that made it vibrant, it was the art instead. They would get lost in the art together, Amina and Henry had made so many memories at the art market and so for old times sakes he decided that he would ask Amina if they could go.
Amina had silently woken up, at first Henry had not noticed as he was lost in reverie just reminiscing about their love. By then Amina had fully gotten up and faced Henry. He was met with the most beautiful brown eyes, he couldn't help but gently kiss her forehead. "Good morning Ami" he said so lovingly and tenderly. She loved that he used her nickname. It felt like such a distant memory when that was all he could call her. She felt like an excited school girl, it sounded ridiculous considering the fact that they had been married for three years now. She had longed for his love and now that he was being affectionate she couldn't help but feel all giddy.
"Good morning, dear." She replied with a goofy smile plastered on her face. She gave him a peck on the cheek and got up to go to the bathroom and take care of her business. Meanwhile, Harry quickly went to the other bathroom and washed his face. He decided that he would make pancakes for his wife and then ask her if she would be willing to go out. Amina had taken her sweet time in the shower. She had decided to put on a yellow floral dress that reached just below her thighs. It was flowy and looked very sunny. Despite the storm of yesterday, today the sun had been out and the view from Amina's bedroom was very picturistic. The change in weather had ironically corresponded perfectly to Amina's emotions. She decided to keep it simple and paired her dress with a pair of brown sandals.
When she got downstairs she was pleasantly greeted by the sight of her hudband serving pancakes on a plate." Henry it smells wonderful, thank you." She was already happy to have woken up with Henry and now having breakfast with him was just the cherry on top.
"My pleasure." They were both eating in a comfortable silence. Amina would often speak up to praise his culinary skills but the rest of time there was no exchange for words. Henry had felt criminal for having to break the silence that Amina seemed to be enjoying, it wasn't that he did not enjoy the silence because in actual fact Henry would have welcomed it on any other given time but he needed to ask Amina if she wanted to go out with him. He felt vulnerable because there was a high chance of Amina saying no and there would be noone to blame but himself. Henry gathered all his courage and tentatively asked " Amina?" She had now snapped out of her euphoric dream like state. She simply hummed in acknowledgment as her food was still being chewed in her mouth. " Umm....I w-was wondering if y-you wa-wanted to go to the art market with me? You do-don't h-have to say yes I will understand if you say no b-becau-"
