tapping on the surface of the rounded wooden table,
jaehyun looked everywhere except at the other male. johnny sat silently
observing him with his hands on his legs.

"how are you?"
he asked with a gentle smile.

jaehyun was caught off guard.
he scratched at his nape and mumbled,

"er... i'm okay. what about you?"

"i'm okay."

"cool."

silence filled the space between them.

"you know... i actually thought you were a little different.
like, in real life."

the taller male hummed,
"yes, you are too, different as well."

"sorry."

"no it's okay."

...

jaehyun grinned awkwardly,
"you erm... look good."

"thank you." johnny returned one back,
however seeming more genuine.

"you look good today too."

the brunette's face hued a light crimson and he stuttered to the compliment ,
"th-thanks..."

more silence was present,
but they made some eye-contact during that awkwardness.
jaehyun would quickly avoid johnny's gaze when it occurred.

the taller male wasn't certain about how jaehyun felt about him yet,
neither was he sure he even liked him or not.

but he wanted to make the best out of the moment.
the other male could say so, as well.

peeping from the side, doyoung took a seat.
"sorry i took so long guys," he laughed.

the brunette looked so relieved. he wiped some sweat off his forehead,
"damn... took you long enough."

"pffff. sorry."

before they could all start chatting again,
the waitress brought their orders to their table. jaehyun immediately dug in,
as he didn't eat breakfast in the morning.

the taller one out of the three was about to start eating,
however, he realised how the raven-haired's face seemed a little 'off'.

doyoung picked at his food,
looking like a kicked dog.

johnny assumed that he may have lost his appetite for whatever reason.
but that still didn't explain why he appeared to be so quiet and upset.

he tapped the boy on his shoulder,
grabbing his attention.

"hey... are you okay?
you don't look so well."

he smiled, waving his hand 'no'.
"no, i'm fine."

"are you sure?"

"yeah, i'm sure. let's just eat."
