i stood just a few inches away behind him twiddling with my thumbs.

"why isn't he answering?"
he grumbled irritated and worried at the same time.

"maybe he doesn't want to see us?"

jaehyun sighed hoarsely, brushing his fingertips through his smooth and silky hair.
he caught me staring and i quickly looked the other way, flushed.

"he'd at least yell from his room."

"yeah you're right..." i mumbled.
"want me to to text him?"

"nah, it's okay. i'll do it." he grabbed his phone from his pocket.
his wallpaper was a picture of him, doyoung and i. it made me smile a little. at least he cherished us, right?"

"is he coming out?"

"he should be." he tapped his foot,
"but i don't know what's taking him so long..."

but suddenly, doyoung peaked through the door.
he wore a medical mask, and his now back to black hair was all over the place.
some obvious eye bags were also visible.

"damn, you look dead,"
jaehyun gasped.

"yeah yeah. anyways..." he pointed at the bouquet of sunflowers,
"those are for me right? hand em' over."

jaehyun scoffed and tossed the flowers at doyoung.
"be glad we even came to deliver those."

"yeah but that's funny because i swear i told none of you two to come over."

"he's right..."
i played with the hem of my shirt.

"tch, whatever, anyways how you feeling?"

"like shit."

"and how's your fever?" jaehyun asked,
while lifting up his hand to check the sick male's temperature.
but he dodged the hand and wrapped the blanket around him more.

"i-it's fine... it's um, getting better..."

"oh, okay, that's good to hear."

we three stood there and doyoung looked even more tired.

"we're glad you're doing well doie. if it's easier for you,
we'll be on our way now. please take care and stay safe," i smiled while waving at him.
jaehyun waved as well saying 'bye'.

he hummed, "mmm. thanks for the flowers."

and with that he closed the door. jaehyun and i began to walk to the elevator. however, while staring into each other's brown eyes, we bumped into a young looking boy with bright pink hair. it really stood out from his dark attire.

"sorry," he uttered, bowing.

jaehyun stopped in his tracks, "jaemin?"

"oh." the male pointed. "jaehyun?"

"dude, it's been forever! how's it going?" he hugged him.
i felt awkward, but just smiled either way holding my hands together.

"i'm doing pretty good, haha." he laughed,
"and you look pretty good too."

"what're you doing here?"

"here for doyoung."

"oh?" jaehyun's tone changed. i furrowed a brow at the newcomer.
"but doyoung said he didn't want any visitors."

"really? didn't know that. is that why you and..." he stopped at my name.

"ah, it's johnny," i finally spoke.

he chuckled, "mm, yeah i know haha. you're pretty popular."

"am i?"

he nodded. "so that's why you two are heading off?"
he finished his sentence.

"yeah."

"ah, i see. i'll still try my shot though haha.
i told him i was coming over. see you's around!" he said.

"oh. okay." jaehyun mumbled as he disappeared into the hallway.

"that's strange," i scratched my ear.

"doyoung in general,
is strange."
