"two adult tickets to watch the invisible man, please."

i reached my hand out to pay, but jaehyun tugged onto my shirt,
holding a shiny golden credit card. i felt bad making him pay.
i mean, i'm a grown adult!

we headed into cinema 4. the movie hadn't started yet,
but there was already a lot of people. it made me nervous. i don't like... you know, crowds.

jaehyun grabbed onto my hand and pulled me through all the way to the back.
he mumbled 'excuse me' occasionally. he's so polite.

our seat was somewhere on the side,
where most people didn't like sitting,
so we had much more privacy than expected.

"sorry about the bad spot.
most of them were already taken," he said.

"no... it's okay."

this had been my first date in a while, of course i was quite shy and collective.
sure, i'd been crushing on him for some time now, but we weren't half as close like doyoung and i were.

the lights dimmed, suggesting the movie was about to start.
i crawled up into my seat, preparing myself for any scary scenes.
although horror movies were my favourite, it still didn't change the fact
that it could scare me shitless.

i wrapped myself in my sweater paws, afraid and also cold.
cinemas always had air conditioners on; for some reason i just always had to be wearing not enough on those particular days.

"are you cold?"

i hummed,
"but don't worry about it."

he tugged his hood off, "do you want to wear my jumper?
or at least wrap yourself with it?" he asked, looking at me.
"you're shivering."

"haha, thank you.
but it's okay."

"alright."

i really did want to wear his hoodie though.
it was purple, and looked really soft and comfortable.
if only i knew how to speak my mind.

i got jumpscared at one moment and accidentally threw myself on
top of jaehyun. it was an instinct. he was surprised, also about how much i jumped,
but didn't really mind it. i quickly got off of him, apologising but all he did was chuckle.

when the movie ended and the lights turned back on,
i rubbed my shoulders. jaehyun stood up and i did as well.

heading out, he asked me,
"so how was the movie?"

"it was... well, scary." wasn't that obvious?
it's a horror movie johnny...

"did you like it?"

i nodded happily.
not only did i enjoy the film but i also enjoyed my time with him,
even if we were quiet. i obviously didn't tell him that though.

he smiled. "do you what to do anything else or..?
do you need to go back soon?"

"no!" i quickly said.

"sorry... uh, no. i don't really have a curfew today."
i laughed awkwardly.

"oh, that's great! let's just window shop then,"
jaehyun grinned grabbing my hand.

i didn't know what it was, but there was a loud thumping noise in my chest.
this guy, i may not know him well... and i may have met him online...

but i know he makes me happy.
