we're hanging out together again:
jaehyun and i.

i really like that i get to spend so much time with him, but at the same time,
i feel kinda upset since doyoung's never with us anymore. i mean, he's the real reason why i'm in this bar right now.
i'm really grateful for that.

oh yeah... that's right. why are we in a bar? i know that the two of us are... 'close',
but are we close enough to be in a bar together? i mean what if the both of us get drunk?

i'm more so worried if jaehyun gets drunk...

the guy in front of us right now, he's jaehyun's old high school friend. his name's seokmin or something.
i didn't pay attention to it, but we coincidentally ran into him and jaehyun thought it'd be nice to have a chat with him.
i, of course didn't mind, but i didn't know what i was supposed to say.

shortly after catching up, seokmin left.
and it was just the two of us.

i sipped quietly from the bitter glass of alcohol, not feeling the slightest bit tipsy.
i looked over to jaehyun. his eyes blinked at two different paces and he yawned with a hand over his mouth, hiccuping a few times.

"are you tired?" i asked him.
he nodded in response.

"we can head back then."

he drunkenly mumbled, "mm-kay."

we caught a taxi and during the ride, it was soundless.
jaehyun stared out the window, viewing all the fluorescent lights. it made me smile.
he looked pretty, being fascinated.

i myself looked out the window, too.
i rolled it down and felt the slightly cold breeze hit my face abruptly.
it was refreshing.

before i knew it, jaehyun had driven into a deep slumber. his head swung left and right and finally landed on my shoulder.
my heart began to beat faster than it did before, but my cheeks warmed up, as this was the closest he had ever gotten to me.
excluding the incident in the cinema.

we were headed to doyoung's place.

i knew it didn't seem like the right time,
but jaehyun never shared his home address.

i thought it'd be better to leave him with doyoung rather than me.
he was obviously drunk as well.

i knocked on his door, once we had arrived, and waited.
at this late hour, i didn't expect him to open up, but luckily he did, though the look on his face was...

well, not good, i'll tell you.

"johnny?" he said in a hoarse tone.
"why are you here?"

his eyes scanned down to see a body laying on my back.
"with... jaehyun too."

"i'm so so so sorry for bothering you like this, and i know you didn't want anybody to visit you,
but jaehyun got drunk and he also fell asleep... i was wondering if you could let him crash here because i don't know where he lives."

"why didn't you think about letting him stay at your place?"

"it'd be...
i don't know, awkward."

he sighed, "i'm sure he wouldn't mind. plus, he can't stay here.
i have no room and also i'm... uh, sick."

"but-"

"no buts, johnny. c'mon, it won't be that bad, just...
don't do anything to him."

"can you at least pick him up tomorrow morning..?"

"ah, forgot you can't drive..."

"yeah... so-"

"yeah yeah, whatever, i'll pick him up around like eleven to twelve or something.
now get going, it's late you know."

i huffed and nodded. "okay... thank you, doyoung. i'm off then."

"good boy. now, i guess i'll see you around, eh?"
doyoung waved before trying to close the door, but my hand held onto his. i gripped it tight.

"when will you come back?"
i questioned him. he looked up into my eyes.

"i miss you."

he gulped and pulled my hand away.
"soon."

"are you sure?"

"i'm sure,"
and he shut the door in my face.

a sigh escaped my lips as i looked down at the sleeping body i was carrying.
but a smile crept onto my face.
