Gary
Gary stared at the the stack of papers. "Are you joking?" He shouted. "Yep! Better hop to it Prince. Lots of royal documents to be signed" Angeline teased. Gary kicked the ground. The red carpet just fluffed back up as if untouched. Sycamore's office was huge. Shelves were crammed with books all neatly alphabetised. His desk was close to the huge French window that stepped out on a balcony. The chair was closer to the window."So this is all for me to sign?" Gary lost the confidence in his voice. He stuttered and cracked. "Yep all of them but don't worry we have loads more" Angeline opened a cabinet. Gary fell to his knees. He put his palms over his eyes. "Ugh"
"It's not like you to give up so easily prince" Angeline offered her hand. Gary stared at her. She bent down but didn't meet his eyes. "A prince must refrain his dignity at all costs so I can't stand if your on the floor"
Gary looked at her puzzled. Again another odd thing for Gary.
"Come on your highness this is nothing the champion can't handle right"
Gary stood up. "I know, if this is my royal duty then so be it. I'll do anything if it means staying with Hannah. The champion of Kanto will not be defeated by documents!"
Angeline smiled. It was nice to know her pep talk worked. The Prince was her's to look after and he was the biggest burden of her life.
But it did have it's perks.
"Angeline bring me two tubs of ice-cream, a pen, a can of lemonade, a glass, a straw, my blanket and do it in less than five minutes" Gary had his feet on Sycamore's desk. The soles of his boots were filthy. Angeline noticed the mud trail along the crimson carpet.
Sometimes.
Sebastian
Spreading the news was a difficult job. No one wanted to hear that their boss for a week was a 13 year old kid. Sebastian didn't want to say it and they didn't want to hear it. The king was difficult to deal with but at least he was an adult. The children were just pains. But Sebastian got the children, he understood their situation. He grew up in a rich family he too used to denounce his birth rights. But he found happiness in serving others so became a butler at the palace. The only way Hannah's situation was different is there was no higher person she could serve. In his own little world Sebastian bumped into Angeline. She dropped a tray. "Sorry Angeline" they both bent down and gather the stuff back up. "I have no time to talk Sebastian ,the Prince ordered this stuff and I have to get back to the office in 2 minutes and 34 seconds". She started speed walking. (It is classed as undignified and rude to run in a place of royalty. As royalty should express wealth and leisure) Sebastian walked along side her. "Shouldn't you be tending to the princess Sebastian?" Angeline panted.
"Nope that's Edward's job today"
"Then don't get in my way"
Angeline stared at her watch 1 minute 49 seconds left. She knocked on the office door. "Your highness?" Angeline opened the door. Gary was asleep in the chair. His feet were still on the desk. Angeline stared at the stack of papers. Five had been signed. Sebastian slapped his hand over his eyes. "Angeline why does he have his feet on a desk passed down from every generation since the palace's original owner?" Sebastian whispered through grit teeth. Gary snored. Angeline stared at the two boys one her boss the other her equal. "Can we wake him up?" Sebastian whispered.
Angeline gave him a condescending look. "If you looked after the Prince you would know never wake him up" She whispered back.
Sebastian smiled. "The king and her highness are the same"
Gary
Angeline went in she put the tray on the desk. Gary jolted up. Still half asleep. He recognised his maid then slumped again. Angeline was surprised at how good his reflexes were. He stretched and put his right elbow on the desk. He let his fist take the weight of his head. He yawned. Then examined the tray. "Looks like everything is in order. Good work Angeline"
