Sycamore

He finished another glass of champagne. Alcohol always tasted strange on planes. His glass was filled again. He drank it in one. He didn't care about taste he just wanted to pass out. He leaned back in the chair. The private jet was nice but lonely. Thinking under the influence of alcohol was painful. He thought about Hannah. About Edward's call. Then his brother raced through his head. Elliot the name rushed through his head. His brothers stupid face he could never forget it no matter how wasted he was.

"Augustine!" Elliot yelled. Augustine ran his older brother was pissed at what he had just done. Score. Elliot ran out of the office and chased him down the hall. "You get back here little brother" He yelled. Augustine ran faster he was gaining on him. Elliot tackled him to the floor. "Augustine!" He gritted his teeth as he sat on his little brother holding his hands behind his back. "Oh lighten up Elliot it was just a harmless prank"

"Lighten up? Lighten up? Those were official royal documents you just threw off the desk getting them all out of order!"

Sycamore smirked. Elliot pressed Augustine's face into the carpet with a free hand. "Father will be pissed at me and it'll be all your fault!" Elliot got off him. Sycamore brushed himself down. "I'm sorry Elliot"

"It's fine Augustine your more important to me than work"

"Brother make up hug?" Augustine offered. Elliot hugged him.

The king laughed. "Oh you really are my son's boys always causing havoc" He smiled. Elliot and Augustine smiled at each other they were off the hook. The king stepped towards his sons. "Elliot don't work yourself so hard remember I'm still regining here" He placed a hand on Elliot's shoulder.

"Thank you father".

"And you Augustine work yourself a bit harder. I know you don't have much chance of being king since your brother is so eager but help him with his load ok?" He placed a hand on Augustine's shoulder.

"Yes father"

"I won't be here forever so you two will have help each other as much as you can ok?"

That was one of the most valuable pieces of knowledge Sycamore's father ever shared with him. Elliot and his father were his best friends. They would always play together and his older brother and father would always support him if he stumbled. He missed Elliot. And his father.

His father's funeral was over crowded. Their mother didn't attend. Many citizens from far and wide came to pay their respects. Elliot was the obvious successor but he was only 17 and Augustine 15. The kingdom shamed Elliot for taking his father's place. Saying he didn't deserve his father's throne. Elliot never did get down to finding a girlfriend but that didn't stop Augustine he found a girlfriend easily. They were married when Augustine 17. Elliot blessed the marriage. He was the best man at their marriage.

But obviously nothing good lasts forever. Elliot died in a terrorist attack. To this day they never caught the killer's and they never recovered Elliot's body. He had only ruled for three years and died at the young age of 20. Sycamore was 18 when he took the throne. That was an eventful year. Losing your brother, getting married and taking over the crown. None of Sycamore's family was very good at battling and he was no exception. However all of his family had a full team of pokemon. As pokemon meant power. He kept his father's and brothers pokemon. His brothers prized tropius was an excellent battler. But never wanted to listen.

His wife got pregnant shortly after the marriage. Elliot was always happy when he thought about a niece or nephew. They all lived under the same roof. Shortly after Sycamore took over after his brother. His wife gave birth to their first and only child. She died during child birth. She had lost too much blood. It was a miracle their child survived.

Sycamore stared at the bottom of the empty glass. Then to his watch. They would be in Kalos in less than an hour. And yet he couldn't stop thinking about Elliot with his dumb glasses and cheeks that always blushed a light pink. Hopefully the damage Hannah caused was minimal.
