Samael closed his eyes. It was almost like an astral experience where he was no longer in his current body. However, he was aware of the circumstances around him;
if only to a certain extent. He felt the sharp connection between him and the minion that was following Domenic from the time he had reached outside. Through this power, he could see what it saw and felt what it touched.Domenic had returned to the apartment building, but why? What drew him back there? Was it that girl Ashley? She had long grown out of his control. He did not need to worry about her, for she was only a ticking clock.
He watched him get out of his car and greet another man, but he did not understand the exchange.
"Go closer," Samael commanded as the minion walked passed them, seeming to act as if he lived there.
However, no name with substance was mentioned, only a woman that had locked herself inside.
The minion waited within a short distance by the stairs. Pulling out a cigarette and calmly smoking at the bottom. The other man next to Domenic was watching him cautiously now and then.
Domenic after a short while began to move. He headed towards the apartment and started walking up the stairs. He could see him counting the stairs as the minion slowly followed unnoticed behind him.
Samael saw him pass his old apartment with a lingering gaze. Before standing in front of the door which he recalled was the old man's place. He pushed the door open.
Why did he go inside there? Samuel wondered.
"Hey, Susie, " a voice called it broke the connection between Samael and the minion.
Samael turned around to see a man with a smug look on his face looking him down.
"Want to take a quick break with me. You promised that we would today."
"No thanks, I am very busy today, maybe some other time."
The man came around the desk to face her directly.
"Hey, a promise is a promise. You already know that Mr. Foster isn't coming back. Nor does he care about any of those documents you are looking over. So we might as well have a little fun like old times."
"Fun?" Samael asked, "Perhaps that is exactly what I need for a while."
"Yes," the man said there was a level of excitement in his voice that carried a high pitch causing the other workers to look in his direction.
Samael ignored this. "I have the perfect place for us to go," he casually said with that she stood on her feet.
"Where is that?"
"You will find out soon enough," Samael grasped the keys and walked to the elevator. The man followed behind with an eager face.
No one said anything as they watched them leave. Samael gave a quick glance around to realize that they were all in their own worlds.
Unknown to them, they all were slowly being affected by Domenic's presence. He could see the corruption spread in some of them and dormant in others.
It was not long before Samael was outside with the man from the office that had tagged along. Only one concern was on his mind, seeing what was in that apartment room.
"Should we take your car or mine?"
Samael thought about it before saying, "Yours is fine."
He smiled as he walked Samael towards his car.
"After you, my lady," he said, with a grin as Samael got in.
"Such a gentleman," Samael responded as he closed the door.
He entered on his side. Shutting his door and turning on the car.
"Where should we go now?"
"I won't tell you where we're going, consider it a surprise."
"I like surprises."
"Then I am sure you will like this one."
A cunning smile etched upon Samael's lips as he turned his head towards the man. Samael slowly came close to a breath of his ear.
He whispered, "It's to die for."
"I am sure it is," the man replied with a tremble upon his voice. He drove out of the car park like a man on a mission.
Samael made a signal with a gesturing motion.

It was approaching night. The road was lonely, this was the part of the city he would have normally avoided.
The music on the radio did nothing to comfort this uneasy feeling. There was a lingering silence in the car from the time they had left.
That eerie feeling raked his body as he held the steering wheel. His instincts told him to turn back as the man swallowed his salvia.
"Take the turn towards the alley," Samael said, as the man followed the command.
The car pulled cautiously into the small alley.
An opened door was swinging with the breeze. In faded writing, the words marked: DO NOT ENTER stood pronounced on a sign near the entrance.
What are we doing here as he looked around at the filth-ridden small alley that only left just enough space to reverse?
He could see the flies buzzing mightily around. He smelt the nauseous air of stench around him as though something had recently expired or decayed here.
"Oh, you will see soon," Samael replied, as he opened the car door, not at all phased by the surroundings.
He took a few steps forward and gave a flirtatious glance back and disappeared behind the opened door.
The man hesitated for a moment. Thinking back that this was not like the Susie he was accustomed to.
The man didn't wait long as he followed behind, but as he grasped the door. His body flew back as if he had been in a car crash.
His bones were broken, his face was caved in. A monstrous beast resembling a huge slug dragged him in behind the door. After his body had been pulled completely in, the door swung shut behind them.
It wasn't long before they returned to the car, ignoring the blood smeared on the ground. The man was completely quiet as they made their way to the apartment.
