Thank you for making it to the end. I hope you truly enjoyed the story. They are many themes that take shape throughout the book: Escapism, Symbolism, Marxism, looking glass self, parallel theory and biblical mythology to name a few.

One of the primary goals for me personally while writing was to have the reader question the story as it progresses. Falling in between a cycle of love and hate of these characters as they all go through their various struggles, lies, hypocrisy and personal choices. I wanted the other characters outside of Domenic to feel as real as possible, even if you spent brief times with them. The tension to be high, not enough to choke the reader but enough to drag them along. If you felt that way about this book, well, I have succeeded.

Something I also want to note here, which I doubt anyone but myself would notice as the author was the angle of the POVS. Every scene was being watched from the eyes of the devil although I doubt  I did the best to show that.

Now you may have expected for Domenic's end to be different. I can understand that I first had thought about a few different ending scenarios before I settled on this one as it fits the best.

So for anyone that got lost by its meaning, one of the first things I want to point out is the reference constantly to the number 17. It starts at the beginning of the story. It starts every time the story advances and its in the chapter numbers. In Roman, VIXI is the symbol of death and it means to have lived. Now it begs the question of if the world existed? Two scenes I think if the reader reflects on would be the scene of what happens when Domenic commits suicide and the scene when he enters the bar, in chapter one and comparison to chapter two.

Another note is the epilogue was Domenic's experience all a dream did it exist at all? No, it wasn't a dream at all. The entire scene of events has happened. A parallel theory has been questioned and talked about multiple times through out the story. Domenic's action of change broke the constant repeat of his own self destruction. Therefore, the next Domenic does not meet Samael and the sequence of events has changed.

If you still have questions or thoughts on the story, feel free to send me a message.

They will be a few upcoming stories soon that delve deeper into various perspectives of this world, covering a cross-section of genres. Including a prequel to Drugs from Domenic's mother's side.
