It took more a few days for the court to reach their final conviction. It was the final day of the hearing and Marcus was obliged to be there. He sat in the back and watched it unfold. His attention however was wavering; his eyes were glued to the back of Julian's head and so were his thoughts. What was going through Julian's mind, he wondered. Would Julian ever speak to him after today? Would they even see each other anymore? His chest tightened, felt heavy and his brows drew together. The thought of never seeing him wasn't appealing.

It was decided that he would speak with Julian after the final decision came through. After all, it might be the last time Marcus ever got to see him.

The more he lingered on what Allen had told him, the more he saw reason in his words. Allen did have a point. Once the media got ahold of the real reason behind what happened that night they wouldn't be left alone. Noting good will come out of it. Either way, it would affect Julian more and, Marcus didn't want to be the reason for his down fall.

The longer Marcus stared over at the man whose back was turned to him, the weaker he felt. I have to let him go, the voice inside his thoughts chanted. But why was it so hard! He couldn't even look away, so how was he going walk away from that man and never think of him again. He didn't want to be the reason for his demise that was why he had to do it. Julian deserved so much better. Julian had so much to lose.

"Please tell me that you aren't really considering what that douchebag said." Craig whispered from next to him. His voice brought Marcus back from his deep thoughts with a jolt.

"He does have a-."

"Bullshit" Craig interjected. "That ass has no idea what he's talking about. You know as well as I do that Allen's a dick." That wasn't necessarily true, Allen saw reason beyond emotion and Marcus, as much as he hated to admit it, knew he had a point.

"What are you trying to say?" Marcus asked, slightly irritated.

"Well.... What I'm trying to say is that he has no clue about...... what you guys have. And no Marcus you're not going to deny it." Craig said pointing his index finger at Marcus. "Everyone can see that you love him as much as he loves you. So just man up for once and forget what that ass said and go to him."

"Bu-." Before Marcus could finish someone cleared their throat and a tall, dark shadow fell over Marcus and Craig. They immediately froze, cautiously turned their heads and looked up to see a tall man from security looming over them. His expressions were flat and as he gave them a stern warning glare that spoke volumes ... and the message was well understood by both.

Marcus and Craig turned back around to face the judge, the jury and the lawyers. As time passed, Craig rested his head on Marcus' shoulder and leaned against him. He was asleep and Marcus gave his head a slight pat as he watched the judge and lawyers prosecute and defend their clients.

Marcus wasn't listening to what they were saying. His thoughts were anywhere but in that court room. Occasionally his eyes would roam to Julian and each time he'd be surprised at how engrossed he seemed with the case. Marcus' eyes traveled over those broad shoulders and his soft hair that was chopped short, he just wanted to touch him just for second to satisfy his curiosity. Marcus couldn't ignore how attracted he was. Marcus looked to Julian again but this time, Allen, his brother, who sat next to him, turned around and glared.

"....and All criminal charges placed against defendant, Anna Dain, including abduction, abuse, conspiracy to murder, the terrorizing of a third party and infliction of physical injury. Under Penal code section 135.25 -- 135.30 of state criminal law, New York City finds the defendant guilty of all charges and is convicted of a class A-I violent felony offense.........." The rest of what she said was drowned out by his frenzied thoughts. Marcus' eyes widened as he froze in his seat. He couldn't believe it.
