Epiphany

Chapter 10

We got home with dirt all over our clothes and a wet hair. Pumasok kami sa loob at natagpuan silang apat na nagkukumpulan sa sala na parang may hinihintay.

Tinitigan nila ang itsura naming dalawa ni Noah pero wala silang tinanong na kahit ano. Nang lingunin ko si Noah ay nakita ko siya nanglilisik ang matang nakatingin sa apat, kaya naman pala walang masabi eh.

"I'll clean up first." nagpaalam na ako at nauna na sa taas.

When i finished cleaning up ay dumeretso na agad ako sa paghiga sa malambot kong kama.

Ma, Pa? I want to say sorry because I know that I will be risking my safety in the path that I will soon take. I know you don't want me to learn about the truth and indulge myself into your past but I believe that this is the only way, sorry.

My thoughts before I finally went to sleep.

Today is our last day in college and kakauwi lang namin mula sa school. Bukas ang alis namin papunta sa Tristeza, I told the others that it is my hometown but I never mentioned my past to them. I only told the them that I'd also like to visit my old house with them and they all agreed to my decision.

"We don't know if the house is being guarded and we might find clues once we get there but still, we have to be careful enough to not alarm the enemies." I overheard them talking outside my room on the ground floor

I've been with them for quite some time now but I haven't found out what they truly do. I know that they are all hiding something from me and it seems like they are all part of an organization or whatnot. I also noticed a lot of strange things that they are capable of for the past few months but I'm still unsure that's why I only rely on my instincts.

I stopped listening to them and focused on fixing the things I plan to bring with me tomorrow. Once I was done, I went to sleep earlier than the usual.

"Good morning." Noah greeted me when I went out of my room while holding my things and handed me a cup  of coffee

I gently dropped everything on the floor and accepted the drink, "Thanks."

"Good morning people!" Ravi greeted us while the others are behind him

We greeted him back and got our things to put it inside the van we rented. Noah helped me in bringing my things, "Are you ready?" he seems like he's making sure

Today is the day, the day where I have to face my past.

"Who isn't?" I said even if I still have a bit of fear inside me

He smiled at me and patted my shoulder.

"Ahhem!" napalingon naman ako kay Ada na nasa likod pala namin ni Noah

Unang niyang tinignan si Noah bago ako, "Kauma-umaga nako! May trabaho tayo ngayon araw na 'to Boss Noah! Focus." natawa nalang ako sa nabasa ko sa isipan ni Ada kaya naman napalingon si Almy na nasa tabi ko

"Why're you laughing?" he asked,

"Wala lang." sabi ko nalang kasi alam ko namang hindi nila maiintindihan

"Hala, Abhaya! Sabi ng teacher ko masama daw ang tumawa kung wala naman daw dahilan, iba na 'yan nako!" singit namin ni Ravi sa usapan namin

"Tumahimik ka nalang diyan Ravi!" sabi naman ni Livia na nasa loob na ng van

Pumasok nalang kaming lahat at hindi pinansin si Ravi na usually ginagawa namin sa kaniya

"Eh totoo naman eh!" mabilis na pumasok ito sa loob at wala nalang nagawa pa
