There is no way I am going through the woods. That man thinks he knows what's best for me. Well, how could he say something llike that, I have never even met him before. I don't even know why I am so angry but I don't try to calm myself down.
I am so lost in my thoughts, that I don't even realize where I am going. And that's when I hear it. Barking. Which means a dog is nearby. I have always had a terrible fear of dogs.
Autumn always wanted a dog, I think to myself, but she couldn't get one because of me.
The barking snaps me out of my daze. I can see the dog now. I don't see a collar, or a leash, or an owner. This is bad. This is very, very bad. The dog is headed right for me. What should I do? Should I run? No, the dog will just chase me. But I can't just stand here. Even if the dog doesn't do anything, worrying that it will is going to kill me first. I decide to go with the first option. I know it's a very bad idea but I run anyway.
I can hear the dog barking, chasing after me, but I don't stop. I can't stop or the dog will get me. I begin to regret this idea because now, I am tired of running. The dog is right at my heals now and I am about to break down in tears out of fright. But I don't. I keep running. Until I end up in the woods. Great. That man was going to make sure I went through the woods whether I wanted to or not. How did he even know? Is this even his doing or a coincedence? It can't be a coincedence. I am so frustrated right now I want to scream.
Eventually, the barking stops so I finally take a break from running. I am bent over, hands on my knees, when I feel something brush against my leg. I am just about ready to explode and the sight I see alomost makes me. But then I turn around. There is nothing there. I was pretty sure I saw a whole bunch of fur out of the corner of my eye. But there's nothing there. Except for a skinny little boy, just standing there, staring at me.
