"Eric. Eric. Oh Eric." I sob into my brother's shoulder, "Eric. I thought you were dead. Eric."

"Calm down Autumn. Just let it all out. It's ok."

Then a wave of anger surges through me. I push Eric away from me. "You!" I yell, "You left me on the streets to die! While you lived a life of luxury and servants and maids, I lived on the streets lying to myself by saying I'll find food. I spent days starving, and you just go ahead and ignore me? What made you want to come after me anyway? Hoping to ruin my life even more?" I turn away and cross my arms. I am so angry right now that my brother leaves my to starve and decides to be a billionaire by himself. I start walking away, still cold, wet, and infuriated.

"Autumn I can explain-"

"Save your stupid excuses for later. You'll probably need them to go save your life and to abandon me again."

Now Eric looks mad. "Autumn! I would never leave you in the streets to die!"

"Well you did!"

"No! I had no idea. I didn't even know where you were this whole time. When I found out you were in the woods, I thought it would be the safest place away... from them."

"Who's them?"

"Them is Max and his parents."

"You knew Max was in the woods waiting to kidnap me!"

"No! I didn't even know they had a son! He tricked me too. I woke up tied to a chair."

"Tied to a chair huh? I was locked in a tube surrounded by acid that was filling up with water at an alarming rate! And you think being tied to a chair is bad?"

He thinks about the statement for a moment. Then something hits me. His escape was too easy. And if he as escapes, I escape... This was the plan the whole time! "Eric! Your escape was too easy. Something's wrong!" Just as the words come out, all the doors and exits close shut. Iron doors fall down with a loud BANG. Large metal plates slide in and cover the acid. Then there is a low rumbling. Our feet are wet. Then we realize the room is filling with water.
I should probably be worried. But still, I laugh.

Is water the only way these people can think of killing us?
