Around the circumference of the acid stood Max. "Max!" I scream, "Max, are you just gonna stand there or save me or what's your plan?"

"Well I do have a plan..." he says.

"Great. Are you trying to kill me?"

"I'm surprised you cought on so fast."

"What?"

"I sure hope there's someone out there to plan your funeral," he says cheerfully.

"Max!"

"Oh, and I've also kidnapped your brother."

"My brother is dead!" I scream.

"Ah yes. During my parents storm that you think killed your entire family."

"What do you mean?"

"That was an artificial storm my parents created to get all of you separated. To make you think your family was killed, to make Zack go after you. It all went according to plan. "

"Max how could you! I trusted you!"

"Here's a lesson to learn from all this: by the way your life is going, its best to trust no one. Oh wait, you don't have time to put the rule to test!" he says mockingly.

I don't know what to say. Then Max starts talking again, "My parents are going to drown you. And if you attempt to escape, you'll burn to death in the acid. Bye bye Autumn. Will there never again be an orange leaf on the ground." He laughs maniacally. Then two tall, people appear, who I assume are Max's parents.

"Wait! Just one more... statement." I yell.

"Speak."

"You my so called friend are never going to win." I say angrily. He glares at me with some insane, evil look.

"Mother, Father, why don't we have the prisoner's parents kill her?"

"Good idea Max," says the woman. I stare wide eyed as my parents walk in. "Lucy, Todd, please pull that lever." I stare, wide eyed as my father, who I have not seen in four years, who has not seemed to change one bit, walks obediently to a bright red lever. He pulls it and a glass tube falls down surrounding me. Then, a tap somewhere opens and water comes gushing out. I start screaming at the top of my lungs.

The water rises above my head.
