Your mind wondered on different responsibilities not pertaining to Ben Solo. Luke instructed you to meet with a couple of the other students to make repairs to any of the damages in the training room. Since there were many students who didn't know how to use a lightsaber, this was a challenge you accepted along with your other classmates. Anything to get your mind off of the last time you spoke with Ben.
You arrived at the temple at dawn, expecting there to be a handful of students waiting there for you to get started. To your surprise there was only one.
Alex was always friendly to you. His hair was a light brown that almost looked blonde in the sunlight. His eyes were a bright green and fell on his shoulders in a beautiful curl. His body was physically fit to a T and his demeanor was always friendly. He had perfectly straight teeth, and a dimple that embedded in his left cheek. You had always thought he looked like royalty. Or maybe just a boy you always thought you should have been with.
"Ah, finally you came." He turned towards you and he gave you a soft and warm smile.
"Where are the rest of the students?" You pondered around hoping to see another face.
"They decided it would be a good idea to skip today's assignment and hit Hanna City for a day on the town. I guess they knew at least some of us would show up." He chuckled slightly and started to walk towards the opening to the temple.
"I'm sure we can get it done.. I'll help as much as I can." You stepped up your pace to catch up with him.
"You know... not to sound audacious, but you look like you could use some fun yourself. Why not ever go out with us?" His voice was friendly and warm. Normal.
"I don't know, sometimes I'd like to I just always have something to do."
That's a lie.
"Ben Solo." He chuckled as you both walked through the corridors.
You glanced up at him quickly in panic,"Excuse me?"
He looked you up and down and shrugged playfully.
"You and Ben never go out. I suppose that's why you both are top of the class."You sighed in relief.
"I'll make a deal with you. We get this work done fast, you have to go out with me to the city and meet up with everyone, and I'll even throw in a couple Jedi secrets that'll blow your mind." Suddenly the rocks levitated as he walked towards the door. The rocks subtly landed in the green grass.
"Fine, it's a deal." You said hesitantly.
"It's a date." He flashed you a quick smirk and nodded his head towards the opening of the temple.
You weren't sure whether or not you were exhausted or you were nervous. Your eyes were heavy from crying the night before.
Maybe this is a good thing. Just forget about Ben.
Alex led you down the sides of the field where you spotted a transport in the distance.
"Is this even safe? Whose driving the transport?" You clasped your hands together as you walked side by side with him.
"Just breathe. It's a public transport and we're already almost outside of the temple borders. Don't worry, you're in good hands." He always had a smile on his face.
You walked beside him as you came upon the travel transport. You felt a worried feeling wash over you as you stepped up onto the ramp. You looked behind you to see the towering view of the temple. You had never been outside the border or anywhere near the city. As you walked onto the transport you fixed eyes with a few strangers, but mostly familiar faces; students.
