Chapter 9
"Haha, very funny you guys," you say in a nervous way. "Now can you please stop messing with me?"
"We aren't joking," Wooyoung says to you in a innocent type of way.
"Yah, why would we do that," Jongho asks confused as he looks at you.
"All of you acted like San had no idea who I was, San you said you didn't know who I was to Seonghwa," you say as you look at all of them. Your voice was slightly raising, "so why are you changing the story?"
"Mingi had one other girl who he dated at one point, when we first met you, we thought that's who you were, not his secret childhood friend," Yeosang explains.
"If San was my childhood friend, wouldn't he have recognized my name?" you ask as you look at all of them, still confused.
"I mean," San begins, "I had a good idea that it was you, and only me and Mingi knew your name, because of this I acted like I wasn't sure who you were. It wasn't until I asked Mingi before you came to the house for the first time and he said it was you. That's why I told the rest you were my friend, I wasn't lying. That's also why the others were confused when you said I wasn't your friend rather than me saying I was."
"It doesn't make sense," you say, "I'm pretty sure I would remember San if I remember Mingi."
The room goes quiet. San and Mingi look at each other then look down. You look at them confused. San's face holds a sad look while Mingi's holds regret. The others look slightly confused as well.
"Please if you are messing with me," you begin, your voice shaking, "stop."
No one speaks. Everyone looks at you with a serious face. Seonghwa's face goes from serious to concern.
"Y/N," Seonghwa talks in a gentle voice, "we wouldn't mess with you like this, I promise. Not one of us has any intention in hurting you."
Seonghwa reaches out to your hand, but you slightly move it. He looks down then back at Mingi. You look from Mingi to Seonghwa and raise your eyebrows.
"Then explain," you respond shortly. The room is still quiet. You look at everyone's face before stopping on San's.
San looks at Mingi and motions him to talk. You look at Mingi and raise your eyebrows waiting for him to talk. Mingi looks down then back up at you.
"I think this may be too much for one day," Mingi says, "you should sleep."
"So we are just going to wait?" You ask looking at them. "You made this huge thing about being San's childhood friend just to leave me confused and lost?"
"Tomorrow," Mingi says.
"It's not even late tell me later tonight," you respond, "I'm not waiting that long to find out."
You get up slowly and look at all of them. You want to say something, but you don't know what. You walk to you room and change into sleeping clothes. You sit and think for a second before laying down, not knowing how you were going to sleep after hearing all of that.
To your surprise, sleeping came a lot easier than you thought. Your eyes were heaving from crying and you were cold from the rain. Everything running through your head made you feel exhausted. It didn't take long for you to fall asleep, but you were happy about it because you didn't want to be stuck thinking about your conversations.
