Chapter 15

T

he day seemed to drag on. Even when the day ended, you all had to find a way to get back to you, Mingi, and San’s house without showing any “outsiders”, aka the guys you ran into at your school, where it was located. When you and the others were finally gathered at your house, you were relieved, you had so many questions.

“So,” you began, sending sharp glances into each of the males eyes in the room with you, “who are they?” The room is quiet, the others just making quick periods of eye contact to each other, trying to send messages of who should answer the question.

“They said who they were,” a small voice spoke, making you look over to Yeosang and narrow your eyes.

“You all know that is not what I meant,” your voice begins to rise before you even realize it. “What do they want? Why are they bothering us? Who are they to you? Why is this Taeyong one claiming to be my brother?”

“I’ll tell you who that Yuta guy is,” Wooyoung in an annoyed tone, clearly not a fan of the said male. “Yuta is the guy whose father works with San’s. The one that claimed to be your brother, I thought him and Yuta were related, but guess not. I mean YT and TY, seems like they would be related, but now I’m confus-”

“Wooyoung,” Hongjoong cuts off the youngers rambling and gives him a stern look that says “shut up before I shut you up”.

“Look,” you hear a soft voice talk and look towards San, his eyes slightly apologetic. “There are a lot of things that I, Mingi could too, would like to tell you. I don’t know a lot of inside stuff, but I do know that Taeyong is in fact related to Y/N, I don’t know why he left with Yuta, but he did. He lives with Yuta as far as I know, his family adopted Taeyong into their own. I don’t know why Yuta works so hard for his dad, when we were little he used to say he wanted to be a soccer player, I believe he got a scholarship for it too.”

The room is quiet. Everyone was taking in San’s words carefully.

“I have two questions,” you look towards San and hold eye contact with him. You wait until San presents you a small nod and his full attention. “Okay, one, you knew I had a brother, so why didn’t you tell me? Two, why are all of you so scared of those four? I have never seen any of you act like that, I’ve known Mingi my whole life and I’ve never seen him quiver like that, San, I have never not even once seen fear lace your eyes, and Hongjoong, where even was the passion I’ve come to learn from you?”

No one talks, just like before. “Damn, don’t all answer at once. I don’t care which one you answer first.”

“I didn’t think Taeyong would tell you, let alone remember, that you were related,” Mingi says in a low voice. “I mean I only saw him once or twice in pictures with your family, but he had already left with Yuta.”

You nod.

That much you could make sense of, in your mind you see it as that he clearly didn’t want to be a part of your family, so why would he bother remembering his sister through all of those years. Not only that, but a sister who is clearly younger, probably too young, to remember him.

You look around the room and wait for the next part to be answered. San takes a deep breath and you look at him, once again.

“Well,” he breathes out. “For one, unlike us they come from wealthy and strong families, all of them having both a mom and dad, and their social status is off the charts.”

That night you laid in San’s arms as you remember the words he had said about the events. His hand caressing your hair and the words playing through your head made you fall asleep surprisingly easily.
