Bailey hopped off the bike

Mike and the others sat their bikes on the bike holder "thank you, mike" Bailey said and mike smiled "no problem" he said and they all headed in

Bailey instantly grabbed onto Max's arm "I don't like this" Bailey whispered to her bestfriend while scooting closer as someone walked past the girl "relax, bails, I promise no one will know you have powers, you're fine" max whispered to the girl and she nodded "I'm taking bailey to the office to get her schedule" max said to the boys and they all furrowed their eyebrows "we're going too, she's not just your best friend" Dustin said and max playfully rolled her eyes

"Fine" max shrugged her shoulders as they walked into the office

"Hi, max" the front desk lady said "hi-um Bailey is here for her schedule-it's her first day" max said and Mrs Laura smiled at the girl "hi bailey, I'm Laura" she said and bailey smiled "hi" she said and Lucas cleared his throat "oh-hi Lucas, and dustin, and mike" Laura said with a laugh "hi" they said in unison

"Last name?" Laura asked while typing on her computer and max lightly nudged bailey who was looking around the office "oh-uh-hopper" bailey said and cleared her throat "oh, you're the chiefs daughter, I'm so sorry for your lost sweetie" Laura said and bailey nodded "yea-but it's fine, I miss him, but it's fine" bailey laughed nervously while looking at her friends and they gave her a 'keep going, you're good' look

"I never knew the chief had a daughter" Laura said as baileys schedule got printed out "I was-uh home schooled up until now" Bailey said "hopper was your teacher?" She asked and bailey nodded "Yea" bailey said and Laura handed her the schedule "well he was an amazing person, I hope you have a great experience here" she smiled at the girl "thank you" she said and they walked out

Bailey let go of her breath, she never even knew she was holding in her breath

"You did great, a lot of people might bring up hopper, so just be prepared" max said and bailey nodded "okay" bailey said and they nodded

The bell soon rung and they all panicked; it was the warning bell

"Let's see your schedule" max said happily and bailey nodded

The party all looked at her schedule

"What the hell, we only have one class together" max whined "what class is it?" Bailey asked "math" she groaned "we have 2 classes" lucas spoke "which is art and english" lucas added and bailey smiled "you have only p.e with me" mike said and bailey nodded "you have all classes with me" Dustin said with a smile "not fair" max said and Dustin laughed

The bell rang indicating that school has now started "shit" max said while putting her skateboard down and riding it to class "see you 3rd period bails" max said "see ya" bailey said

"Ready for AP engineering?" Dustin asked and bailey nodded

They all split and went to class

They walked in class

"Why are you late? Are you okay?" The teacher spoke

"I was helping my best friend, she's new" Dustin said and the teacher eyes widened in excitement "listen up everyone we have a new student" the lady spoke happily and the class groaned at her loud happiness

"introduce yourself please" She said and bailey nodded "m-my names bailey hopper" she said while scratched the back of her neck the class started whispering

"Now, now, class don't be rude, welcome bailey, it's a pleasure to have you, beautiful" the teacher said "thank you" bailey said and Dustin walked to his table "Dustin, Bailey will be working with you on your prototype, all you missed was that the prototype is due Friday afternoon" ms Navi spoke and Dustin nodded

The teacher walked away and Dustin turned to bailey

"She's the nicest teacher here, early 20's, relatable, and uplifting-but the rest, they suck ass" Dustin said and bailey laughed

"Ok so what I've been working on is a robot that can cook for you, clean for you, and specifically waterproof to wash the dishes" Dustin said "so basically a robot that does chores so you don't have to" bailey said and he nodded

Bailey walked with max and Dustin into the lunch room

"Okay, so food is shit here, but we didn't make lunch-we either starve or force ourselves to eat it" Dustin said and max nodded "I'm pretty sure no one makes a lunch for themselves they just put up with this bullshit food until they get home" max said bailey laughed at her friends

They lead her over to the table and sat down "mike and Lucas should be here in a minute, they both have biology, the biology teacher sucks he doesn't let people out if they don't give him his full attention to let him finish some useless sentence" max said and bailey nodded

"Ok, all I have is chips, I grabbed them last minute" Dustin said "I have grapes.." max said and bailey nodded "I have nothing" bailey said "it's fine, we can share" Dustin said and bailey nodded

Soon Lucas and mike walked up to the table

Mike sat next to bailey and Lucas sat across from max

"Hey guys" mike said and sighed "what's wrong?" Bailey asked the boy "mr Murph" mike said "the biology teacher, he's such a jackass-I'm dropping out of school" mike said and the party laughed while bailey furrowed her eyebrows "what did he do?" Bailey asked "he gave mike an F because he missed one assignment" Lucas said "he's not even letting me make the assignment up" mike said "and what do you have in that class Lucas?" Max asked her boyfriend "a C" he said "and get this-he's missing 2 assignments-thats pure bullshit-pure favoritism" mike said and Lucas laughed

"Maybe because on the first day you called him bullshit" Lucas said and mike rolled his eyes "I hate this, I need mr clarke again" he said

Bailey rubbed the boys back

Lucas shot max a smirk and max leaned over and hit her boyfriend's arm

Mike ran his hand through his hair; ina stressed manner "my moms gonna kill me" he said "it's just an F, you can get your grade up" Dustin said "I know, but not in a week, report card nights in a week" mike said "then just try to distract your mom from knowing" max said "and how am I supposed to do that?" Mike asked "every time you hear someone calling run to the phone and answer to see if its the school calling to tell your parents about report card night" Lucas spoke "that wouldn't work" mike said "yes it will, I did it all last year" Lucas said and bailey eyes widened
