Mike and Steve hopped out of the car

"This is the last time I'm being your person driver" Steve said as they got out of the car as the rain poured down "but it's for bailey" mike said as they walked into the building quickly

Mike ran up to the girl laying on the cold and he shook her shoulders

"Bailey! Bailey please tell me that you're okay" mike panicked and bailey eyes shot open

"Mike..." bailey said weakly as she shivered "let's get you home, you're freezing" mike said while grabbing the girls hands

"Wait, mike-I have....a cat, it has no place to go" bailey said and mike nodded "we'll take it with us, let's go" he said while pulling her up she wrapped her hands around her jacket; holding the cat

Mike wrapped his arms around baileys shoulders and she slowly walked and mike held her close

Once they got to the car Steve opened the back door for the 2 young teens

Once they got in the car mike wrapped both his arms around bailey as she leaned on him and shivered along with the cat

"T-thank you mike" bailey said and mike nodded "thanks s-Steve" bailey spoke "no problem kid, just stop leaving on your own" Steve said and bailey smiled weakly "I will, now I know" she said and closed her eyes

Steve turned up the heat in the car making bailey turn warm

The cats head that remained out of the coat soon dried due to the heat in the car

Bailey officially went to sleep while mike kept his arms tightly wrapped around her

His head rest on hers making him satisfied

Once they got in the house mrs Wheeler was shocked at the sight

"Oh my god, what happened?" She asked as she observes the kids "we took a trip, but it didn't go well" mike lied and mrs Wheeler gasped as she saw the cat in the girls jacket "you guys both need to take a nice and hot shower" Karen said to the kids and they nodded

"I'll wash the cat" Karen said and baileys eyes widened "you'll let me keep it?" She asked and Karen nodded "of course" Karen said and bailey smiled "t-thanks" she said and Karen took the cat

Bailey opened her eyes to see herself in mikes bed

She was under the covers and she was warm

She looked around to see no one

"Mike?" She said and she got no response

She sat up and rubbed her eyes and yawned

Soon the door opened and mike was seen "great, you're up" mike said happily and she nodded "here, say ahh" mike said while holding a thermometer and she opened her mouth and he placed it in her mouth and she closed her mouth "my mom said you might be sick because you were in the rain" mike said as he rolled his eyes while repeating his moms words

And she nodded

She watched the boy as he sat at his desk and started writing

Soon he turned around and grabbed the thermometer from her mouth

He went to give his mom the thermometer and checked it

"Baileys getting a little under the weather, I'll make her some soup, and here bring her him" Karen said while handing mike a clean cat "him?" Mike said and Karen nodded to the boy

Mike held the cat and quickly walked upstairs to bailey

Mike opened his door and bailey smiled at the site

"Awww" bailey said and mike laugh and sat the cat on his bed and it started looking around

"My mom said that it's a boy" mike said and bailey "I appreciate her so much" bailey said "also she said you're a little under the weather so she's making you soup" mike said and bailey nodded and started playing with the cat

"So.." mike started making bailey look up at the boy "was the mindflayer active?" Mike asked and bailey nodded "but I killed him, for sure" bailey said "that's good, but bailey please don't leave without someone-I know you don't like when we're in danger but we don't like it when you're in danger, so please just let one of us go with you so we both can protect each other" mike said and she nodded "I'm sorry, I can't lose none of you, you guys are my family and losing you guys-just the thought of it hurts, mike" bailey said and mike nodded

He stood up from his chair and sat next to bailey and grabbed her hand

"And bailey, if we lose you we will all be in mourning for the rest of our life, Bailey you mean a lot to everyone in the party" mike said and bailey look the boy in his eyes "really?" She asked shocked "yes bails, ask anyone in the party, they love you bailey-even Steve and robin, you know Steve drives miles to come and help us find you, he always puts you before his job, Bailey" mike said and bailey eyes water

She wrapped her arms around mike and cried "I didn't know that when I put myself in danger it hurts you all, I'm sorry, I promise I won't ever do it again" she said and mike held her close "it's fine bailey, I'm sorry if I put you under pressure" mike said and she pulled away from the hug and looked at the boy "no, you made me aware" she said and mike nodded
