Chapter 6: The Truth

It's the next day and we are practicing with the winning boy group,  preparing for the music video. Rain, Taemin and Hyuna are helping us learn together. 

"Sing louder! We can't hear you!" Rain shouts, he smiles at me, "Sing louder! We can't hear you!" 

I chuckle and do as he says. 

We continue to practice. I start sweating, we've been doing this for so long. I look at Taemin and he whispers in Rain's ear.

"Break!" Rain says, everyone instantly breaks from there positions and I am left by myself. No one is truly my friend here. I think because I'm not Korean they don't feel comfortable about me. I walk over to my drink bottle and pick it up. I know that the mentors are still in the room. I stand up and go to walk out of the room. 

"(Y/n)!" Taemin calls to me, I turn around and see him running up to me. "Is something wrong?"

I look away from him and smile, "No, there's nothing wrong." 

I go to turn away but his arms grab my shoulders and he turns me to face him. "There's something wrong, is it me." 

"Later." I say shrugging him off.

I watch her leave the room. I sigh and turn to the other mentors. There's something wrong and she won't tell me until later. 

"Taemin" I hear Rain call me, "What's happening between you two?" 

Crap, already? (Y/n)'s going to be mad.

"Nothing." I say looking away, "We're just friends"

"It's clearly not that. There's something else." Hyuna says stepping forward.

"Taemin, you are a beloved judge, we wouldn't dare to remove you from the show, either would we with (Y/n), the media, audience and fans would be upset." Rain says rubbing his chin.

"You have to promise that you won't tell the world or anyone else, feel free to tell the other three mentors, no one else." I say taking a drink from my drink bottle.

"Promise." They both say. 

I smile and thank them as I walk out of the room, now I just have to tell (Y/n) the news. I have no idea how to do this. 

I start walking around the halls, I see all of the female idols in the cafeteria and the males are off somewhere. 
I walk into the cafeteria and look around, I see the girls from her team and I walk over to them. "Hello, do you know where (Y/n) is?" 

They look at each other and Euijin shakes her head, "Sorry Lee, we haven't seen her, we thought she was talking with you and the other mentors." 

I sigh and thank them. I walk out of the cafeteria. Lately, I've been thinking that she is being left out because she is from another country. I start walking to her room and I knock on the door. Without thinking I open the door and walk in. 
I look around the room, it's pitch black, I walk around the hear rustling in one of the beds. "(Y/n)? It's me Tae."

"Tae?" I hear her from under the covers. 

I walk over to her bed and sit down on it. "Tell me, what's wrong?"

I watch as she pushes the covers off her bed, she sits up and I smile at her, she looks so pretty even when she is upset. I pull her close to be with my left arm and we sit next to each other. I feel her hug my waist. 

"Are you okay?" I ask looking down at her. 

"No, I don't think the other contestants like me very much..." She says through tears. I rub her back to try to calm her down. 

"Why?" I ask.

"I don't know, I seem to always be left out of things, maybe its because I don't understand Korean well."  

"It's okay if they don't like you I don't understand them." I say chuckling, "Maybe they have something wrong with their brain!"

I hear her laugh, without thinking I kiss her forehead. I wait for her reaction, nothing. I decide to tell her now that Rain and Hyuna know, and soon the other three mentors will know.

"(Y/n), don't get angry with me okay?" I say laughing.

"Why? What happened?!" She exclaims looking up at me. 

I look up at Taemin, he's about to tell me something and I apparently could get angry from it.

He sighs and looks at me, "Rain and Hyuna found out." 

"How?" I ask.

"I think they just guessed, the other three are going to find out too." He says.

"Does this mean I'll leave the show?" I ask grabbing his shirt.

"No! No! We aren't leaving the show, we can stay." He says smiling, "As long as the other competitors don't find out about it." 

I smile and I feel more tears. I look at Taemin and he looks worried. 

"What's wrong?!" He exclaims shaking me. 

"Nothing! I'm so happy!" 

He envelops me in a hug and puts his head on my chin. I hear him laughing as I cry with happiness. 

Suddenly there's a knock at the door. The door opens and I hear a familiar voice. "So she took the news well, Lee?" 

I look up and see Hwang standing in the doorway. 

"You already found out?" Tae says letting go of me. 

"I found out ages ago. I knew there was something going on when Taemin was shocked in your audition." Hwang exclaims laughing.

"You saw that?!" Tae exclaims while I giggle. 

"Yes, it was pretty loud, I wouldn't be surprised if (Y/n) heard you." 

"Did you?!" Tae exclaims.

"No, I didn't hear you say anything before I did my audition." I say laughing.

Truth is, I saw his face, the shock plastered on it was so funny.

"Good..." He says sighing, "I'm lucky." 

"you really are Lee, I saw how frustrated you were when I talked with her for a bit." Hwang says laughing, "Get used to it, I've heard many of the male idols are interested in her, one especially." 

"What?!" Tae exclaims, I just laugh, him being jealous is so funny.

"Just warning you!" He says waving, "You have ten minutes until the practice resumes." 

We watch as he shuts the door. 

"Man, I hate that guy." Tae says smiling. 

"Im sure you do." I say laughing.
