"I can't believe you!" Yeri giggled from beside Jungkook. Jungkook only grinned at her, wearing a grin that said I-lost-my-virginity-before-you-did.
"So how was it? You didn't give me any details when you texted me over break," Yeri asked in a hushed tone, glancing around at the people around them. Jungkook smirked and felt his face flush a little, and Yeri squealed louder.
"You're crazy, Kook," she mumbled, her excited smile slowly falling into a frown. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows together and glanced behind himself at what Yeri was staring at. "What's wrong-"
"Hey Yeri, Jungkook," Hyuna said dismissively, walking past the two quickly and only making eye contact with Yeri. Jungkook pursed his lips together and glanced at Hyuna and Yeri.
"What's up with her?" Jungkook said once Hyuna was out of sight. Yeri bit her lip but shook her head.
"It's nothing, Kookie," she said, looking down at her textbooks and notebooks. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows.
"Y-You don't have to lie to me," he mumbled. Yeri paused and looked up at him. She seemed to hesitate, but eventually shook her head and looked back down at her notes.
Jungkook bit his lip. Something was weird.

Jungkook sighed, holding his textbooks to his chest and walking down the packed hallways. He headed to the cafeteria with exhaustion written across his face, but lightened up a bit when he saw Yeri.
Taehyung was no where to be seen.
"Hey, Yeri!" he squeaked, tossing his books down on the table and sitting beside her. Yeri startled for a minute, but sent Jungkook a sad smile. Then she looked away.
Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows again. Something was off with her too, it seemed. He brushed it off, though, and smiled at the other cheerleaders sitting at the table.
They smiled back at him, but all quickly looked away. Jungkook pursed his lips but put his head down, grabbing his lunch from his bag and beginning to eat.
They weren't acting the same. Jungkook hated it.
"S-So," he began, catching the attention of the other girls at the table. The awkward silence broke for a moment, but then wedged itself in between Jungkook and the rest of the cheerleaders.
"Oh, have you guys seen Hyuna?" Tzuyu interrupted. Jungkook put his attention back to his wilting salad, stabbing it a few times with his fork.
"No, I saw her this morning, but she's been gone all day," Jennie mumbled. Jungkook glanced around all of them and watched as Irene perked up.
"Oh! Is it because of T-" Irene began, but was immediately cut off when Jisoo clamped a hand over her mouth. Jisoo gave her a look and Irene nodded, glancing at Jungkook and looking away awkwardly. Jungkook stared at the two with confusion written all over his face.
"What's up with you guys? Why is everyone so weird today?" Jungkook asked, adding in a sad laugh at the end as he looked around the table. Everyone avoided eye contact with him and he eventually made it too Yeri.
"I-It's nothing, Kookie," she said, looking down at her notebook again. Jungkook balled up his fists and felt anger and... hurt course through his veins.
"That's what you said earlier!" he stammered, stopping himself from yelling at the poor girl. Yeri flinched a little and Jungkook felt his heart drop.
"I-I'm just gonna go," he muttered, quickly grabbing his things and heading off. He tossed his salad out in a random trash can before slamming the doors to the cafeteria behind him.

Jungkook was probably the most hurt by the fact that no one came after him. He spent the rest of his lunch trying not to cry in the bathroom that no one visited. He still didn't know where Taehyung was.
He sighed, a sigh of relief, when he heard the bell at the end of the day. He gathered all of his things quickly and walked out of the room as fast as possible, trying to avoid all interaction with anyone he might know.
"Hey, Jungkook."
Jungkook stopped immediately, whipping around quickly and coming face to face with Taehyung. He smiled at his boyfriend and quickly walked up to him, about to throw his arms around Taehyung's neck-
And Taehyung stepped backward.
"W-What's wrong, Tae?" he asked nervously, his voice quavering with every word. Taehyung looked at him and then looked away, his hands twitching at his sides.
"Can we talk?" he said, looking at the ground, "Somewhere private?" Taehyung looked up at Jungkook and Jungkook nodded, feeling his heart fall to his stomach.
Even Taehyung was acting weird all of a sudden. But why?
Jungkook followed Taehyung to a corner of the school and watched as he waited for everyone to file out. When silence was the only thing surrounding the two, Taehyung finally spoke.
"We need to break up."
Jungkook felt his heart practically stop.
"W-What?" he stuttered, tears beginning to well in his eyes, "Why? I-Is it something I did-"
"I don't know who you are anymore."
"Wh-What do you mean?" Jungkook asked. Taehyung's face was practically devoid of emotion. He only stared back at Jungkook.
"I-If it's something I did wrong... I can change, I-I promise-"
"That's exactly it, Jungkook," Taehyung said sternly. The soft tone he used around Jungkook had completely disappeared. "You're not the same, I... You're not the person I thought I was falling in love with."
A tear slid down Jungkook's face.
"Hyuna told me that you were using me to gain popularity."
Taehyung stared down at Jungkook. Jungkook had to bite his lip to stop himself from becoming a full on mess in front of Taehyung.
"Wh-Why would you believe her?" he said, his bottom lip quivering with each word that he spoke. Taehyung's stare hardened.
"I believe her more than I believe you. I can't even recognize you right now, Jungkook." Taehyung ran a hand through his hair, looking away from Jungkook and down the hallway.
"L-Let's just break it off here," Taehyung mumbled, emotion cracking through his mask but being quickly covered. Jungkook felt tears streaming down his face, and his heart broke even more at the thought that Taehyung couldn't even look at him.
"I'm sick of being used, Jungkook. I hope you can at least recognize yourself," he mumbled, and then turned on his heel and walked away.
Jungkook watched as Taehyung made his way down the hallway. He wasn't going particularly slow, but he wasn't fast either. When Taehyung was finally gone, Jungkook sat against the wall and buried his head in his hands.
"Looks like we're even now."
Jungkook looked up and found himself staring at no one other than Hyuna. She had a disgusting grin and her face managed to contort itself into some sort of monster. Jungkook looked back down again, tears falling to the floor.
"Why?" he asked, sniffling a little and wiping at his eyes.
Hyuna giggled.
"I think you tried to change yourself too much. It never looked good on you," she glowered and then walked away, in the same direction that Taehyung left in.
