"There's only two months left before we graduate," Namjoon mumbled.
Everyone was seated on the couches in Jin's house for their ritual movie night. Jin and Namjoon were practically glued together, Jimin and Hoseok were cuddled suspiciously under a blanket, and Jungkook was curled up in Yoongi's lap.
Hoseok threw a pillow from across the room at Namjoon and everyone else rolled their eyes. "Joonie-hyung, I love you but you don't have to remind us every day," Jimin whined. Namjoon smiled sheepishly.
"I don't know if I'm ready to graduate," Jungkook mumbled. Yoongi held him a little tighter.
"Why not?" Jin asked, concern lacing his words. Jungkook shrugged.
"I... I guess I'm not ready to leave everyone yet," Jungkook mumbled. His hyungs nodded at him in a peaceful silence. They knew the two meanings behind those words.
"Well, Jungkookie," Hoseok began, "We'll always be here for you. You know that." Jungkook pouted and felt tears come to his eyes at the touching words.
"Yah, Hobi you made him cry," Jin scolded, throwing a pillow at Hoseok. Jungkook giggled and wiped away his tears.
Sure, he couldn't be with the man of his dreams, but at least he had five awesome friends.
"Jungkookie," Yoongi said from behind him, catching the attention of the group, "If you really like Taehyung, you should just tell him how you feel. Not as a cheerleader, not as a nerd, as Jungkook."
Sounds of agreement hummed amongst the six of them. Jin played the movie and Jungkook retreated to his thoughts.
Maybe Taehyung would like him if he did that. After all, Taehyung said that the reason he broke up with him was because he couldn't recognize Jungkook.
But Jungkook could recognize himself now.

"Good luck, Kooks," Namjoon said, placing a hand and squeezing Jungkook's shoulder lovingly. Jungkook smiled nervously up at Namjoon and sucked in a deep breath, before waving off his friends and heading down the hallway.
He hadn't asked to talk to Taehyung or planned anything with him, but he was hoping that he'd get a chance to run into him.
Jungkook wandered down the hallway, making sure to look down every corner to see if Taehyung was around. Unfortunately, he wasn't. But Jungkook kept walking.
When he got to the 200s hallway he sighed. Taehyung wouldn't be anywhere near here, especially since it was after school. Jungkook's plan would probably just have to wait.
Or maybe not.
Taehyung turned the corner and Jungkook felt a smile flood over him. He took in a deep breath and walked up to Taehyung, opening his mouth to say hi-
"Oh, Jungkook," Hyuna mumbled from beside Taehyung, purposefully grabbing onto Taehyung's arm as she kept eye contact with Jungkook.
"H-Hey Taehyung," Jungkook stuttered, not even bothering to look at Hyuna. Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows together, but lacked any emotion beside that on his face.
"Can I... uh, talk to you?" Jungkook stumbled, heat rising to his cheeks. Hyuna glared at him from the corner of his eye. But he kept his attention on Taehyung.
Taehyung hesitated. But it seemed like something was going through his mind, Jungkook could see it behind his eyes. Hyuna turned her attention to Taehyung and pouted, although Jungkook didn't understand why she would do that. She looked very ugly.
"Fine," Taehyung spoke lowly, brushing Hyuna off his arm. Hyuna scoffed at him but rolled her eyes and walked away, making sure to push past Jungkook. Classic Hyuna.
"What is it," Taehyung said rather harshly, and Jungkook felt the sting from the words like a slap across the face. He took in another deep breath to soothe his nerves.
"I... I really like you."
Taehyung blinked.
"Y-You already know that though," Jungkook mumbled, "B-But I wanted to... to tell you this again because..." He swallowed the knot that was forming in his throat and felt himself blush. He was really making a fool of himself.
"B-Because now I can recognize myself," Jungkook spit out. His face felt like it was on fire. Jungkook bit his lip and glanced up at Taehyung. And if he was being honest, he was a little surprised at what he saw.
Taehyung's eyes had widened, not by very much, but it was definitely noticeable. Jungkook couldn't help but notice the faintest bit of pink dusting over Taehyung's cheeks. His lips were parted too, but ever so slightly.
"S-So," Jungkook continued, feeling a rush of confidence surge through his body after looking at Taehyung's expression, "I... I wanted a second chance."
Silence.
Taehyung was staring at him. His eyes had narrowed back down and his face lost its faint glow. His lips were pursed together tightly. Jungkook gulped.
"What do you think?" Jungkook asked, wringing his hands together out of anxiety. Taehyung just continued to stare at him.
"No."
Jungkook blinked. "W-What?"
"I-I mean..." Taehyung stuttered, his face tinting the faintest shade of pink. Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows together.
"Yes." Jungkook's eyes widened. "W-Wait, no." Jungkook's shoulders sunk in. "M-Maybe?"
"What I'm trying to say is I don't know," Taehyung mumbled finally. Jungkook stared at him with big eyes. He was convinced that this was a side of Taehyung that he'd never seen before.
"But... I-I'm willing to give it another try," he muttered, looking at Jungkook. Jungkook froze for a moment, but then a giant smile came onto his face.
"R-Really?!" he practically screamed, then blushed remembering they were in a school hallway. Taehyung giggled and nodded at him.
"Okay, uh, my friends are having a movie night on Friday," Jungkook said, his hands shaking from how excited he was.
"I'll go," Taehyung muttered with a smile, "But lets do this properly this time." Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows together in confusion.
"L-Let's go on a real date before we decide on anything," Taehyung said and Jungkook nodded eagerly. He smiled, feeling content with himself.
Jungkook stared at Taehyung for a moment, and then bit his lip. He took in a deep breath and sprang forward, wrapping his arms around Taehyung's neck and breathing in the calming smell of clean linen, something he hadn't noticed before.
Taehyung wrapped his arms around the boy's waist, just holding him and not doing anything else. Jungkook smiled.
Taehyung didn't hesitate.
