Don't hate me...I think this ship is really cute. I didn't think I shipped it until I saw an artist on Instagram make ship art of these two, and I loved them ever since! I think they would be so fun and happy together and they'd be able to help each other with past trauma and whatnot. That being said, I don't see this becoming cannon. As cute as it is, I don't think that's the crewniverse's intention with these two's relationship. But just having them be friends is really great too!
