[a/n] double update ^-^

A few days later, Jennie arrived at the gas station as Kai's car was low on petrol. She didn't want to end up pushing it halfway on the road as there was still quite a distance to home.

The staff came out of the station when he saw her and went ahead to pump in some gas. A few minutes later when he was done, the staff was carrying the gas pumper back to the stall when he accidentally scratched the side of Jennie's car tire, puncturing it. What are the chances of puncturing the tire first try? Guess Jennie was just unlucky.

The petite brunette was fuming as the back of her mind was starting to boil. This week has been extremely hapless for her ever since Kai left. His poor car has been constantly damaged and Jennie was starting to get tired of having to fuzz over the repairs. She thought having the manager come out to solve the problem would do some good, but she was wrong.

"I'm sorry miss, we will be sure to reprimand the staff about this-"

"No, there's really no need to. But I just don't get it? Why can't he apologise when he obviously knew he damaged my tire?"

"I'm sorry for his behaviour as well, he is new here."

"Okay, that's alright then. But can you get my tire replaced by any chance?"

"Oh right, about that, we follow the procedures. But we can't do that for you. You have to get your insurance to cover it for you."

"This car isn't under my insurance, my fiancé is away at the moment."

"Then I apologise, we can't repair it for you."

"Why not? To make things clear, your staff damaged my tire so your company should compensate for it, am I wrong?"

"I really can't do anything for your damages Miss."

"Are you serious?" Jennie glared at the man blankly.

"Miss, our procedures are fixed. I cannot guarantee we can cover for your repairs. If you insist, I can call for my boss to do a quick check for you. But chances are low. If not, I apologise but you'll have to get your car fixed by yourse-"

"Your staff was clumsy, and I'm forgiving him. Look, I don't want to start a quarrel so just compensate for my car, unless you want me to call the police."

Indeed, they ended up at the station, and the raging brunette was really starting to quarrel with the manager and the two other policemen at the reception desk.

The manager was flustered as he didn't think Jennie was serious in calling the police. He was stressing out because he knew he just got his company into trouble, but what else was he supposed to do? Procedure was procedure.

"I swear old man, are you making any sense to yourself? If someone spoiled something that isn't theirs shouldn't they be the one to pay for it or at least compensate?" The police officers were almost about to hold Jennie back when they saw her thrusting herself out of the chair.

"I told you Miss, it's the procedure."

"I- ugh, are you serious? You're being unreasonable! I understand that procedure is procedure but this is literally common sense! Can't you see that even my headlights are screwed?"

"Then call your fiancé." The manger retaliated with an obvious frown.

Jennie groaned internally. Fine, she knew Kai was busy yet she still tried dialling over.

When her call ended up as a voicemail, there was a moment of silence as the officers exchanged unreadable expressions to each other, the manager even looked away because he was out of breath to quarrel with a young fussy lady over her broken tire as an old man.
