"Jennie Kim?"

"Yeah the girl who isn't even an employee under the development teams yet she managed to produce her own game."

"What a bitch."

"I know right? She doesn't even have the basics and now our company is launching her new game? Bet it's shit."

"Want to bet she seduced CEO Manoban?"

"That's not possible! Miss Manoban is professional and has always kept her personal life out of the office."

"No but Jennie Kim is her secretary."

"And? It wasn't the case with her previous secretary."

"Kim Jisoo? They're best friends!"

"So what's your point?"

"Jennie Kim's got the looks. She must have done something to our CEO Manoban otherwise she wouldn't even have this privilege. She must have seduced her."

"Come on Somi, you think Miss Manoban would fall for a bitch like her? Our CEO is way hotter and can do way better."

"You never know."

"Whatever. Now because of that Jennie Kim I don't stand a chance with Miss Manoban anymore."

"Dream on, Tzuyu."

Just one of the many reasons why Lisa was hesitant. The entire company got notified about a new game release and news spread like wild fire throughout. Some people were fine with it but others seemed to think Jennie got this benefit out of doing something inappropriate.

"Who even leaked the information that this was Jennie's game?" Lisa questioned with a stern tone to the managing team over the other line.

"We're not sure about that Miss Manoban, though we are certain no one from our team did. Do you want us to investigate further?"

She sighed, and put pressure on the bridge of her nose. It wasn't exactly a major thing that no one was supposed to find out about but she was worried how Jennie would handle this. Because all her employees knew how professional she was and that this sort of thing wasn't supposed to happen.

It made Jennie seem like she freeloaded off everything without having to work hard like the employees in the designer and development teams who had to come out with proposals every month just for only one to be approved each year.

"Just make sure this never happens again, you understand me?"

"Yes, we apologise for any inconvenience caused Miss Manoban."

When she ended the call, she spotted a sulky Jennie entering her office. She slumped over the sofa with her face first and sighed into the couch like her life depended on it.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm trying to be." The brunette mumbled, "I swear I was about to punch those bitches who were bitching about me right in front of my face."

"How serious was it? Did they do anything to you?"

"No, they didn't know I was there. Whatever the case, they think that I'm not worthy of you and one of them even said they lost their chance with you because of me."

The CEO gasped and let out a soft chuckle from her desk when Jennie rolled her eyes at the thought of those employees. Well she didn't know about that one.

"Why do you have to be so hot? Like literally all your employees are drooling over you." Jennie murmured and sprang up from the couch, sending a glare to Lisa.

"I can't help it." The boss laughed again. "But don't listen to them, you are worthy of me."

"More than worthy."
