Chapter 8

"Close your tabs, let's go." Lisa said as she grabbed her office blazer, springing out of her gaming chair with a stretch.

"Why?" Jennie asked dumbly, scanning her laptop header for the time.

"I don't know Jennie, why not you tell me what time it is."

"1.03pm?" She timidly replied.

"And why do you think we're leaving at 1pm for?"

The brunette frowned, "But I'm not done with reading the schedules yet!"

"Oh so you're telling me you don't want to eat lunch?" The CEO asked sarcastically.

"No I mean I will but-"

"Jennie, that's the third time today. No more protesting." Lisa warned as she gestured for the girl to come with her. She pouted sadly as she followed, taking her tote bad with her. Looks like she really had to oblige to everything Lisa says.

"And I told you, Jisoo can do them for you."

When they got out of the office, they saw her and she waved.

"Y'all going somewhere?" She asked cheerfully.

"It's lunch time, Jisoo. Go eat and work later." Lisa demanded.

"Oh right, no thanks though, I'm going to continue with my work." She replied quickly as she looked back down to her laptop with a smile.

"Okay, suit yourself then. Jennie, let's go." Lisa walked ahead to the lift.

"So your name's Jennie? Nice! I'm Jisoo. Have fun you two." Jisoo perkily shouted and Jennie waved back at her before rushing after Lisa who's already in the lift waiting.

"Is she always this lively? Jisoo is such a cutie." Jennie asked as the lift went down.

"Yeah, she's- what?" Lisa gawked, "My god- cutie?? What the hell is going on in your brain, woman?"

The brunette frowned, "Why? She is cute."

"No, hold up. I'm about to choke. How the heck is she a cutie? If anyone's ever a cutie, it's me."

That sent Jennie bursting out with laughter and Lisa frowned even harder in retaliation, her eyebrows creasing to no end.

"What's your problem? I'm the hottest haven't you been knew? My entire company worships me."

"Well that's because you could literally fire them if you wanted to and they wouldn't want to be jobless. Plus, it's really got nothing to do with how good you look."

Lisa scoffed, "Lame excuses coming from you. It's very well obvious they worship me for my extravagant looks."

Jennie choked back on her saliva for awhile and when she saw her boss chuckle at her, she let out a small giggle.

"But seriously, how is Jisoo always so bubbly all the time?"

"I don't know actually, but yeah she is quite. She's actually one of my best friends and she's really dumb sometimes." Lisa cackled. They walked across the lobby until they reached the carpark. Jennie followed obediently like a child.

"Don't say that, she's not dumb. You are."

"Way to talk to your boss Jennie Kim?" Lisa challenged.

"But we're out of the office aren't we?" Jennie arrogantly retorted as Lisa shook her head with a sigh.

"Okay, I'm not going to argue. Where do u want to eat?"

"Up to you boss, I'm fine with anything." Jennie smirked as she leaned back into the passenger seat and put on her seatbelt.

"Keep calling me that, it makes me feel like I have authority." Lisa chuckled as she drove. She decided to bring Jennie to the nearest shopping mall to grab a simple lunch at a Japanese restaurant and drop by the store to get her a new bag, maybe some clothes. Lisa preferred if Jennie looked more proper to work, it'll mean she'll look way sexier in office wear as well and that'll be such a sight.
