The rest of the day ended quickly, after they had dinner, Lisa sent her home as usual.
Jennie could really get used to this. With Lisa and all. It was the best feeling.
Nowadays, she realised Kai never really called anymore. And it made her wonder why, because the last call as she remembered went fine. It's not that she cared, but it was a little disturbing knowing it might have meant Kai was distancing himself for some reason.
Over the span of the next few days, Lisa and Jennie still worked in the company for hours together. Whenever they went out to eat, they'd basically took it as dates.
The CEO had loved the company with Jennie, and as they spent time together, they made new memories. They've went around central city too much that Lisa had wanted to explore around Jennie's neighbourhood to get to know where she lived better.
After work, it was late afternoon when Lisa decided to head to Gangnam for a change.
"Didn't you want to go grab food? Why are we near my home?" Jennie asked when she saw Lisa made a different turn from the usual route that leads to the central.
"We've been eating at almost every place except Gangnam, and I'm just curious as to what they have here." Lisa replied as she gripped onto the steering wheel tighter, entering a slightly narrow road.
"Since you live here, what can you recommend?" She continued, turning to look at Jennie with a smile.
"What do you feel like eating?"
"Something light maybe, what about you?" When Lisa say things like that, it makes Jennie's heart warm. The girl always cared about her first over anything else.
"I prefer something light too." Jennie paused with a smile, "So, up to me?"
"Yes, up to you." Lisa replied softly.
Jennie was feeling cheeky, she remembered her parent's donut store and wanted to bring Lisa there. Perhaps help bring up sales for her parents without telling Lisa that it was her family's business.
It wasn't wrong though, their donut store was one of the best selling ones around their area and Jennie would be really satisfied if Lisa tried it.
If Lisa was hungry, she would have brought her to the guksu restaurant that she always ate at, and introduce her to the friendly ahjumma she knew. However that wasn't the case now.
The brunette directed Lisa to the store and they walked in together after parking Lisa's car across the road.
"Ahjumma, I'm back!"
"Jennie? What are you-" Susan came out of the pastry kitchen once she heard her daughter from around the corner, but stopped when she laid her eyes on the person behind her. She scrunched her eyebrows when her daughter called her ahjumma.
Richard was at the counter counting the cash when he looked up as well once the entrance bell rang and was shocked to see his daughter with someone.
Jennie noticed her parents reactions, and pursed her lips tightly together as she sent a blink to them with both eyes, telling them to play along. She nudged her head a little towards Lisa while glaring at her parents before they nodded in understanding. Lisa couldn't see what the brunette was doing because she was behind her, and was engrossed with the donuts on display.
"So what do you want to eat?" Jennie looked at Lisa with a cheeky smile on her face as her parents went dead silent.
"Do you always come here? Everything looks so good." Lisa exclaimed.
