"I'm truly feeling much better now , I promise"I tried convincing Susie and Mr James.
"Are you sure sweetheart? , We could get the doctor in no time since Caroline is still unavailable , Caesar would be here by 10am and he's not going to be pleased if he hears you've been unattended to by a professional , or better still let's get the doctor on the line with you."James asked.
"Alright , that sounds fine dad , and please don't tell my father when you go to play golf this afternoon , he's going to inform mom and they'll both be alarmed"I pleaded.
"Don't worry darling , just let us know if you need anything , we'll text the doctor your number right away , love you , later okay"
"Love you too , alright , bye"
"Oh my my , just imagine how worried they all are , ain't that cute , it's so great how—"
I checked my ringing phone and glanced at a foreign number. I waved at Sandra striding to the pool side.
Probably the doctor or should I say paediatrician..

"Hello Mrs Banks , this is Dr Smith"
"Hello , Dr Smith , I suppose I remember this name.."
"Why yes , I remember you coming in with Mr Caesar a year ago to the Meridet hospital"
"Ah yes , yes I hope you're fine"
"I am , but you don't sound too well"
"I don't know what it is Dr Smith , it started on Thursday when I puked about thrice in the night , the next day I felt too nauseous after smelling sausages and eggs , I haven't really eaten anything yet since I've lost my appetite somehow and feel entirely weak.."I went on.
"Hm..I see , so it's been two days am I correct?"
"Yes Dr Smith"I nodded.
"Permit me to ask , Are you on your period"
"Oh no , I..no.."I tried counting the days till I'm due , later , maybe?
" Alright , I'll drop by in 30minutes time but I'd like you to rest and take a pregnancy test"
"A what?"
" Just to know what we're dealing with , it might be that you're pregnant, or that you're suffering from malaria , or anything else , but it's best if you get it done"
Sandra came outside , standing next to me as I stared into the blue pool , trying to not freak out.
"Mrs Banks?"
"Uh , yes Dr Smith , I will , see you in 30minutes then"
"Certainly , goodbye"Dr Smith hanged up. I gawked at the phone.
"Are you okay? , Who was that?"
"The doctor , he's gonna be here in 30minutes time"
"Finally , I was starting to wonder if I had to package you to the hospital , it's 10minutes to 10 and you haven't eaten anything solid Kayla , Caesar's flight might land any moment from now—"
"Could you get me a pregnancy test kit?"I mumbled , staring at my shivering hands"
Sandra's eyes widened , she took a step back.
"What did you say?"
"Sandra.."I trailed off , my head spinning.
Oh this gotta be malaria or something else..I can't have a baby right now..I..
"Calm down Aniya , hey hey , look at me , listen to me , I'm gonna get you the pregnancy test kit and we can sort this out , don't panic Kayla"She took a hold of my shoulders , clearly panicking.
"What if I'm.."
"Nah-uh , you know we aren't ready for this"Sandra chirped in.
"I know Sandra , I'm in my 2nd year , I couldn't have been so careless—"
The sound of the electric gates opening startled us both.
Caesar's range Rover that I know so much drives in and he steps out of the car , the chauffeur barely making it to the door.
Sandra turns to me , mouthing ," I'll be back" and walking to the parking lot greeting Caesar on the way before sliding in my car, Max moves in and drives her out.
My eyes move to my husband , striding towards me , his eyes hovering over my form. I jump into his arms the moment he gets close enough.
"Darling , I was so disturbed"He groans , kissing me softly.
I couldn't speak a word as he held me tight.
Pregnancy?
"Let's get inside baby , it's cold out here , you look pale"He examined me , as he walked me into the living room.
"What did the doctor say when he got here?"
"He hasn't been here yet"I mumbled , holding onto like my life depended on it , despite my nervousness I was certainly grateful to have him hear me.
" What? , you mean you haven't been examined yet?"He frowned , his beautiful face showing anger.
"No , no , uh , He called though"I added quickly.
"Kayla , what's wrong"He sat me down , arms still possessively around me as if he would lose me if he let go just a little bit.
"..."I started crying.
