She pressed the white device against her ear, her feet leading her into the glassed building.

"I still can't believe she sent you home... can't you report her?"

Emiyah's voice travelled through the phone.

Kait's mind retracing her steps as she walked past the bodies of persons aimlessly strolling through the halls of the mall.

"Who do you report your boss to?"

Kait threw the question at her sister, her irises glancing at the signs placed above each store.

How each sign informed you that you arrived at your destination.

Her mind wondered what would it be like if signs didn't exist?

Would everyone just be lost?

"I don't know."

The sides of Kait's lips rose at the genuine support and concern she'd received from her sister at a time like this.

At one point the two were like roosters in a chicken coop. They butted heads, fought and rarely ever spoke to each other.

But that all changed and Kait was grateful that even at her lowest, she could turn to her family for support.

Her feet led her to the brown and green stall.

The man's eyebrows arched as he noticed her presence.

"I know Miyah... it's okay... it's already Friday... by Monday I'd be back out to work."

Her tone was calm as she left the call with her sister.

The man's arms folded across his chest.

"So now who's the stalker?"

His tone was filled with humor as she shook her head.

"I'm not stalking you... I just came to see if you're on a break."

The right side of his lips rose.

"So you're checking for me now?"

Kait's eyes rolled.

"You're making it really hard to like you... can we go walk and talk or are you busy."

His brown irises stared into hers and as his lips parted, Kait knew she'd regret her former statement.

"So you're trying to like me?"

His eyebrows wiggled causing the woman to shake her head.

Myles was unlike any guy she'd met before. There was this grace to him that she didn't see at first but now it shone.

Humility exuded from him and Kait didn't know why but it made her feel like she could really talk to him. That he'd understand the real her without judgement.

He slipped out of the stall, occupying the space beside her.

"And to answer your question, yes we can walk and talk."

A smile graced her lips as they began their stroll.

Her mind piecing together how to formulate the things she'd wanted to say to him without unpacking to much on the man.

"So..."

Her fingers slid along her denim jeans, her nerves eating at her insides as she allowed her voice to break free.

"I did this thing where I shared my testimony with some young girls at a school and they received it really well... they invited me back yesterday actually and put on a skit based a bit on my story and it kinda got me thinking about what you said..."
