Yugi, Yusei and Yami brothers

The End

This might not be the last chapter. I might add more chapters after as cute little side stories, but only if you guys want those. They'll be like, during that week times skip, going more in depth with Yusei living with Yugi, and Gramps, bonding with the others and dueling with Kaiba. Would you guys like that? 3rd pov

The group of 6, all stumble towards the duel-runner, ready to head back to either their own time, or the orphanage. They are stopped, by a familiar dragon and warrior.

"YOU HAVE DONE WELL. WE SHALL LET YOU REST FOR TONIGHT, AND SAY PROPER GOODBYES TOMORROW. THEN, YOU WILL RETURN TO YOUR TIME. IS THAT OK WITH YOU?"

"Yes, thank you, Fate, Destiny. I'm fairly certain this is breaking more than a few rules, but..."

"PLEASE, THEY ARE RULES WE MADE, WE CAN DECIDE WHEN THEY NEED TO BE BROKEN, IN ORDER FOR EVERYONE TO BE HAPPY. WE WILL NOT SEE YOU AGAIN, HOPEFULLY, SO THIS IS GOODBYE. HEROES, I WISH YOU WELL ON YOUR JOURNEYS, AND EVEN MORE SO IN LIFE."

Destiny winks, before backing away. 

"I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE TWISTS AND TURNS IN YOUR LIVES, AS WELL AS THE UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF FORGIVENESS. GOODBYE, YOUNG ONES."

Both the dragon and the warrior fade away, leaving our heroes standing on a broken and torn battlefield, exhausted and ready to go home. They all get on the duel-runner, no longer caring if they fit well or not, and head for the orphanage. The drive seems to take forever, exhaustion and lack of energy weighing down all of them, but they make it to the orphanage.

Jack bursts out of the door - dramatic flair, anyone? - and is followed by the others from the ex friend group. The kids are already inside eating dinner and Martha knows she is not needed, at least not now.

"What happened? Did you win? Can we go back to peace again?"

"We fought and won. Yes, go back to your lousy excuse for peace, but leave us alone. We're tired and if anyone else gets in the way, I'm summoning a monster and giving them free will to do whatever they want as long as it gets the person out of the way. Understand?"

The group cowers back, completely and totally unaware that Kaiba is bluffing and would not honestly summon a monster, since the person in the way would most likely be a child. Not even he would dare harm a child, no matter the circumstance. Plus, Kaiba is a nice guy, deep down - though not as deep anymore, since Yusei started working on him - and he really doesn't want to hurt anybody, but he doesn't want to appear weak and defenseless, because those kinds of people are always hurt,and hurt and hurt and it never ends. 

Yusei stumbles into Tristan, who simply bends his legs and scoops behind his knees, easily transferring him onto his back. Yusei doesn't complain, simply grumbles and lightly swats Tristan's chest in thanks. Yugi grins at the sight and Tea leans tiredly on Joey, who scoops her up bridal style. Kaiba rolls his eyes - though it noticeably has less of an edge and seems fond, if you look close enough - and storms through the door, heading for the room where they can sleep, because goddamit, he's tired, and exhausted and literally not mentally able to deal with anybody right now.

The others trail behind, and soon everyone is set up, leaning against someone or at the very least touching someone. Kaiba is slouched against the wall, already dozing off. Tristan and Tea are leaning against the front of the couch, and each other, with Yugi between the two of them. Joey is on his side, with Yusei using him as a pillow, and they are all close to sleep. Yusei grunts and opens his eyes. He can't sleep, not with Kaiba so far away. He gently extracts himself from the pile and silently - what, he'd woken up before and was aware his friends didn't like waking early, heavy walking was not allowed - heads for Kaiba, gently pulling him to join the group.
