Yusei was not used to being around girls. It's not that they bothered him or anything, but girls were the ones more likely to be the ones to get sick, or stabbed, or raped or commit suicide, and that's not to say it didn't happen to boys as well, it was just more common to happen to girls. The point being, Yusei had not interacted with many girls when he was younger. The first woman of any kind, would've most likely been Marsha, and after that the next one would be Akiza. Yusei didn't know many people, let alone girls, his age, so hanging out with Tea was an.. experience.

She had come in the morning, about 9, and asked (demanded) to borrow Yusei for some bonding time. Gramps had not hesitated to say that he had all the help he needed, and Yugi was quick to back him up, claiming he had it covered. Tea had beamed and quickly grabbed Yusei's wrist - still a softer and kinder grip then most he's had in his life - and started dragging him after her. She had first taken him clothes shopping - not for her, but for him - and let him decide out some clothes to wear. Yugi had a semi- decent taste in fashion, but Tea believes in expressing oneself in clothes and so she decided to take Yusei shopping. Also, he appears to be trying for a new look, and she's the best person out of the group - except for maybe Tristan - to help him out.

After letting him buy a lot of clothes -  to him, honestly it was barely an armful and Tea was getting more and more concerned on how messed up the future, or a future, was going to get - they headed for a food court. Yusei hadn't tasted anything on the menu, so he trusted Tea to order for him and not give him anything bad. Tea wasn't sure what was considered bad to him, so she decides to wing it. She orders him a burger, with a side of french onion rings, and herself a salad and some fries. The food takes only moments to arrive and they soon both dig in, though Tea notices that Yusei eyes the portion of food with - disbelief? Surprise? something and that was really concerning, how much food did he get? - beforehand. She's enjoyed to see he likes the food, since he eats all of it, though she also has a feeling he wouldn't tell her it he didn't like it, nor would he not eat it.

Yugi and Gramps are entirely too happy when Tea brings Yusei back after noon and decides to help him learn how to use the cards from this time. Tea's not much of a duelist and her deck more often than not is there only for show and a connection to someone, but she also knows the rules, and everything. The basics don't take very long, since they're the same for every duel monsters game, no matter when the game exists.

The duels take up several hours, since the group of three have to explain everything else, except for monster type, attack and defense. They have to show him how to fuse, defuse, trap, spell and other such things, if only because spells and traps during his time rely on him to be dueling on a motorcycle and that doesn't work or help him during this time. The day doesn't end, because Tea has decided Yusei needs a make over - some help, just a little? She'd wheedled - and he'd agreed to let her do it, as long as she never made that face again. They both know she was lying when she promised not too, but neither could really bring themselves to care.

Tea had brought over her bag - she always did, never know when you might need make p or anything make up comes with - and she sets to it. Letting Yusei choose colors, and a few other things, and then telling him to relax. She starts with toe and fingernails, painting them the silver color he had chosen - it reminded him of Stardust, he'd said, and she knew he wasn't going to be able to use his monsters again, so why not? - and then moves on, doing anything Yusei will let her get away with. She honestly didn't get much farther than that, because she had noticed the built up tension and well..

Let's just say the make over became a massage not even 10 minutes in and Tea was now very concerned about how much weight this man had been carrying on his back, cause damn was he wound tight, lots of knots and other things that took time to build up and even more time to work out without pain - or much pain, that is - so Tea declared she had a right to worry when Yusei tried to deny or claim otherwise. It wasn't much, or long though, before he was practically purring, putty in her hands, since he hadn't had a way to become less tense, taking to rolling his shoulders to try and alleviate some of it.

That, obviously hadn't worked, and Tea takes several hours - it's well past midnight when she's done, but it's worth it - just to massage his back, and then decides arms and legs can wait until the morning for now. The smile Yusei gives her when she wakes up doesn't really bother her, even if she's really not a morning person, but then he offers her the breakfast he saved her and she has found her favorite person. All anyone has to do - this is ok advice, never trust Tea - is bring a moody girl some decent, if not her favorite breakfast - in bed! - and she will almost always forgive you.

Then, Tea gets right back to work, going over Yusei's protesting and talking to an amused Grandpa and Yugi, letting them know Yusei was not going to be available for the rest of the day, can they work without him? At their affirmative, she shoves Yusei - gently, or as gently as one can shove someone - onto the bed and starts massaging his upper arm immediately, aware of how quickly he relaxes. Tea was - and will forever remain - unaware that no one else knows how to relax Yusei.

Usually, in his normal timeline, when Yusei got stressed, he started working on his bike, or anything he could get his hands on, even occasionally dueled. None of them worked for sure and all of them were mostly temporary, but it was better than nothing. Whenever the others tried to help, they usually made it worse - though knowing everything he does, Yusei can now find himself wondering if they were maybe trying to make it worse on purpose - and so they'd given up after the first few times and left Yusei alone. However, there's something about Tea, who has only known him about 2 days, they has him lowering his guard.

He's not sure if it's her personality, if it's the way her hands feel gently removing the knows and such he'd built up, or if it was simply because he knew he was safe, but something in this timeline relaxed him like nothing in his time ever could. So, despite a lot of his instincts screaming otherwise, Yusei let's himself relax, and even fall asleep during the massage, unknowingly strengthening his bond with Tea.

The morning was spent like that, though not too far in, Yugi came up with them and sighed, admitting his Grandpa had booted him upstairs at the sight of him working, trying to lift boxes and other such stuff. A single call has the others showing up, all relaxing on the floor and quietly chatting. It was the second day he'd been here, since the first was mostly spent with Yugi, before his friends came in later, along with Kaiba. The day was being well spent, with the others all keeping quiet to make sure that Yusei stays asleep.

After a while, they all settle closer to Yusei, setting a hand on some part of him and slowly falling asleep. When Grandpa came up later, he was amused to find the entire group of teenagers - mostly - and one adult sleeping on and around each other. He's warmed to find he was right about these kids when Yugi introduced them. He hadn't been certain at first, since he'd seen Yugi come home one time too many times crying, because they were only pretending to be his friend and surely he wasn't unlovable, was he?

Grandpa had watched these kids for days after Yugi introduced them, making sure they were sincere. He was happy to realize they were, and this just cements that fact. They're all holding some part of Yusei, as if they're cradling his very soul, trying to show him how real friends and - if not friends - at least decent human beings acted towards someone they were affectionate towards. Honestly, he was overjoyed, and let them sleep though he figured the group would not appreciate the picture he'd taken.

It was hours that flew by, birds and the sun flying around. It wasn't long before the sun hit such an angle that it shone on the face of one of the sleeping teenagers. Tristan grunts and moans, trying to hide from the sun. Yusei grins from where he'd woken up only a little earlier, since he was completely covered in people and thus was getting hot. Joey was the next, mumbling and cussing under his breath. Tea simply moans and rolls over. Yugi grunts, but opens his eyes and yawns. Obviously, he's used to the sun being his alarm clock of any kind.

Yusei twitches, trying to move, but he's pretty decently pinned - and despite his panic - he can't find himself very concerned about that. In his time, if anyone had come anywhere near him after he fell asleep, he was likely to attack them, or dodge them since he lived on the streets alone before he ended up in the orphanage with Martha, since he was about 3. He ended up with Martha at 10, and honestly had learned many things that he still hadn't tried to fix or change, since it was not entirely important, not with everything going on in the cities and such.
