...the one and only Agent Jordan Shaw.
"It's been ages since we met" Beckett said.
"How are you detective?" Jordan asked with a bright smile on her face, it's always a good feeling when you find an old friend of yours unexpectedly.
"Pretty great, you?" Kate asked back
"As well" The FBI agent answered and couldn't stop smiling because of the surprise.
"What are you doing here? Are you here because of a murder investigation you're working on?" Jordan asked again.
"I have a meeting with my daughter's teacher in a couple of minutes" Beckett answered proudly.
"Wait... you.... you have a daughter in this school?!" Shaw asked confused
"Yeah, she's in 9th grade" Beckett stated
"How's that even possible, we met 8 years ago and you didn't had a daughter" Said Jordan
"She's adopted" Beckett finally said it
"Single mother uhh..." Shaw said convinced Beckett had adopted a girl alone. But she didn't answered and asked:
"And you, what are you doing here?"
"it might seem coincidence but do you remember I told you I had a daughter?! We moved here because I got a job on the FBI of New York and I put her here in the school, she's also in 9th grade" Hearing this a smile grew on Beckett's face:
"So you moved to the city and your daughter is in this school?!" Beckett said surprised
"maybe your daughter and mine are in the same class"
"I am meeting with the teacher!" Beckett started "in that room over there" and she pointed to the door
"it looks like we are going to talk with the same teacher which means our girls are in the same class" The FBI agent stated happy about it
"You didnt brought your daughter with you?" Both asked at the same time and then laughed
"No, she's at home organizing her things, what about yours?" Shaw said. Beckett wanted to keep the surprise on (about her and Castle) so without the agent noticing, she took of her allience and placed in her jeans pocket, just then answered with a lie:
"She's at home doing her homework" Beckett took her phone out and messaged Castle: 'Go to Starbucks with Maddy, I'll go meet you guys there as soon as I finish, and I hav a surprise so plzz dont leave before I arrived and she pressed send, in a minute Castle answered with just one letter 'K'
"Do you think after talking with the teacher we could drink a coffee just to catch up?" Kate asked
"Sure why not"
Beckett went inside first, and when she was done Shaw entered the room, Kate waited for her friend so then they could go to starbucks.
Shaw and Beckett were now enting the shop, for some reason Beckett was kind of nervous about this. As soon as she saw Maddy sitting on a table she walked to her followed by Jordan but she didnt saw Castle:
"Nice to meet Maddy" Shaw said "Nice to meet you too" The girl answered
"I thought you told me she was at home doing homework" Shaw whispered to Beckett
"Where's dad?" Beckett asked Maddy "He went to the toilet" She answered
Jordan couldnt be more confused "You have a boyfriend?" She asked
"A husband, actually" Beckett answered showing her allience
"But..." Shaw was cut by a voice behind her
"Hey you're here Beckett" Castle said and Beckett walked to him and kissed him quickly, Jordan turned around to see who her friend's husband was:
"Ahh" was all she could say after seing Castle. There was an silence between Castle and Jordan because Castle also didnt expected to see her there, or better, to see her ever again
"Agent Shaw" He finally spoke, she stood up and hugged him
"Nice to see you again Castle" then she paused and looked at both Castle and Beckett holding hands "So I guess he's your husband right?" she said to Beckett.
"Yeah" Beckett answered looking at the floor just like Castle and Maddy was there watching the whole thing.
"I knew some day you would figure it out a way to stop denying the feelings you had for each other" Shaw admitted and smiled "Congratulations" She added.
They stayed there for more two hours reminding the old times and discussing about things that happened during Caskett's journey of love. They will keep in touch form now on since their daughters are in the same class so we'll definitely have more Jordan and Caskett moments, but now that the kids started their chirstmas holidays, they'll focuse on Christmas that is in less than three days.
