After having a small breakfast consisting of pancakes with strawberries, sugar and hunny, Taehyung taking the liberty of commenting on how they smelt like Jimins scent, "nice and sweet" winking as he did making a deep red blush prominent on Jimins cheeks, Jimin packed all his necessities in a large holdall. He didn't own that much so it all fit with a bit of a squeeze.
They left the house around 12pm heading West, Jimin in some comfy jeans and a long sleeve top, Taehyung waring his jeans from yesterday, which Jimin had put in the wash last night when he had lent him his clothes, and a large borrowed t-shirt along with his own hoody which Jimin had now returned.Taehyung was carrying the holdall despite Jimin's attempts to refuse the offer.
He was too much of a gentleman to have Jimin carry his own bag apparently.
He also didn't want Jimin reopening is wounds my straining his arms, since they would take a few days to fully heal.
They had been walking for about 15 minutes, and Jimin was shivering a little, the cold autumn air nipping at hus skin through the thin material of his top. He'd forgotten to take into account the last few days of summer had been and gone so thought not to put on a jacket.
It was early October, and Jimin and Taehyung had met in late September, so the autumn chills were starting to set in, the suns heat only starting to be felt around 2pm once the morning clouds had cleared.
Jimins shivering mustn't have gone unnoticed by Taehyung as he was soon slipping off his huddy, again ignoring Jimin's refusall when he said "no dont, you'll freeze in just a t-shirt."
He still slid it over Jimins petit body, his cinnamony scent alone already surrounding and warming the smaller.
They walked through the forest in silence, though, it was comfortable silence. Both just in thier own thoughts, Taehyung being preoccupied with keeping sharp eyes and ears on the surroundings for any danger, Jimin locked in a spiral of thoughts to do with the previous day and night, thinking of how everything was going to turn out. His usual worry of causing trouble and endangering Taehyung and his pack still lingering on the back of Jimin's brain.
The sudden stopping of Taehyung's steps broke Jimin from his thoughts, Taehyung putting out his arm in front of Jimin, slightly pushing him behind him.
Jimin assume whatever Taehyung had sensed was nothing to actually worry about as Taehyung soon gave the okay and continued walking.
'He's so willing to protect me, he cares so much already. Why?'
"Taehyung?"
He hummed in response to Jimin, still focusing his attention in the surroundings.
"Why do you want help me, why do you care so much that you're willing to risk yourself to protect me?"
"I already told you Minnie, I care about you, a lot. I feel this instinctive need to help and protect you, like its what I'm meant to do." He said whilst facing Jimin's way.
"I just don't think I'm worth it. I'm not worthy of you."
Taehyung stopped in his tracks once again, turning to face Jimins , grabbing his hands in the process.
"Jimin, listen to me. You're not worthless, you don't deserve to just be left without help, to face threats all alone. I'm not going to leave you to face this by yourself. You are worthy. Stop degrading yourself, stop thinking like this, you're a person, just like me, just like the rest of the world. You're just as worthy of help as they are, Okay?"
Jimin nodded silently letting the words sink in.
"Come on we're almost there." Taehyung said, letting go on one of Jimins hands, still keeping a warm grip on the other one.
